YouTube is reportedly considering moving all
children’s videos to its standalone YouTube Kids application that was developed four years
ago. The Wall Street Journal says the firm’s executives
are discussing such measures to better protect young viewers from objectionable videos. The report explained it would be a risky move
as children’s videos are among the most popular on the platform,… bringing in millions of
dollars in ad revenue. Changes were proposed following complaints
from consumer groups as well as a recent probe by the Federal Trade Commission for YouTube’s
handling of videos aimed at young viewers.
