Home Is Where the Heart Is | Critical Role | Campaign 2, Episode 92

Hello everybody and welcome to tonight’s episode of critical role where a bunch of us nerdy ass voice actors sit around and played Dungeons and dragons. [inaudible]. Uh, so yeah, this is before we jump into tonight’s session when we have some announcements to get through. So hang tight for just a second while we go into our first of two sponsorships for the night. Our first, our friends at hero Forge Euro forge, tonight’s episode brought to you by our friends at here are forge makers of on demand miniatures of all types. I’ve used it and it is sweet, but now it’s even sweeter because of their newly updated online platform. Hero forge 2.0 where you can still customize and print your 3d minis, but for the first time you can also do it in color. Yes, you can now design and color your personal minis with a variety of colors and techniques including dry brushing, washing and more. They just launched the update this week, so we’ll be one of the first to get a 3d custom colored mini at here, or forge.com/kickstarter now as I said, this new update makes their platform even sweeter and it got me thinking everything is better when it’s sweeter. Right? Well thanks to hero forge. Come bring it out boys. I’m going to put that theory to the test. I’ve taken common food items and with them we all know and love and I’m going to test if making them sweeter makes them better. So we’ll start with the common chili dog. Well, no, no whipped cream too. It’s already out. Yup. And let’s see. I use this as a shield. There’s better. No, don’t. Let’s try a salad. This is your standard Caesar salad. It tastes like it was whipped cream. That’s my nephew is bad. There’s dinner in there. It’s going to curdle. It’s going to curdle better. Blame it on flaming hot Cheetos. Give me some before you ruin. I’m sure. Are they better? Sweeter? Let’s find out the back of your chair. How is it going to be a river? A magma? There’s two. There’s two more. Two more. Nope. That one’s been sitting around for a while. Yeah. Yeah. Now it’s on now. Okay. Last but not least. No, no. [inaudible] no, don’t go. Oh, go for it. Go for it. [inaudible] Oh, that was good. Maybe I should brush my teeth a little. You know, just clean off the old teeth. No, I’m pretty sure all this is against worse. Better. I think I’ve proven my point guys. Making things sweeter. Make some better. So go check out the sweet new updated Hiro forge.com/kickstarter and thanks to hear a forge for supporting the show. [inaudible] back to you, man. Do you have like antacids on the standby? Just brush my teeth again. Thank you Sam. Thank you for sponsoring the show. I’m sure none of us expected to actually do it. It’s good. Okay. Yeah, that makes the most sense. That wasn’t my sense. Much more clean. Oh God. Damn. Table top appropriate sponsor, D and D beyond big sponsors since beginning of this campaign and have even talked about, they’re an amazing online digital tool for keeping track of media campaigns or characters in all formats of content for D and D fifth edition. It’s May 2nd. So keep an eye on your calendars now for it. It’s exciting cause it’s a, it’s a fun little standalone piece. Uh, even if you haven’t read any of ox Mokena origins, it kind of sits a little bit kind of outside of their own with the first campaign and it’s got some cool perspective and we get to share cover with the name Neil Gaiman who has content in there as well. And that’s kind of cool as well. It’s weird cause it’s like us and then it’s like also Neil Gaiman. I’m like this should be the other way around but okay. Yeah, check it out. Uh, I think it’s for E Mercia you have announcements? I do. Speaking of Sam’s ridiculous antics and also Liam, all working on play is coming back. I know. Just uh, you know we had to keep up with the tradition of the podcast and make it take forever for season two. We recorded a minute a week. Oh yes. Everyone continues to have its signature cocktail attached to it, but it is premiering, not this next Tuesday, but the Tuesday after February 4th at 4:00 PM on our Twitch channel for our season two premier. We’re airing the show a little bit differently instead of a Friday night show. We’re going to put it in the hog game ranch time slots, and it’s going to air biweekly for the entire season. We’re very excited about it. No, it’s great stuff. It’s hilarious. There are some references to times of the year. I’ll be shocked at how long ago and it took a bit, but yes, it’s worth the waves. [inaudible] that’s, that’s more accurate. Yeah. There’s like shit like that and it, they’re like, Oh boy. Okay. Um, yeah, it’s great. Um, it’s worth the wait tuned in. Very good content. Thank you. Marcia. Uh, Laura. Oh, well you guys may have noticed I’m wearing this, uh, photo tabulates traveler. [inaudible] so yeah, that’s available in our stores. All right. Now you too can join the cult. They handmade by jester, possibly live. What’s on the cuff there? Oh, is that a secret? Why are you going to call it? Let me see. I just saw it. I don’t know. Don’t shut them. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Oh, that’s cool. Oh, there’s an Easter. So anyway, you’re supposed to wear it. This weird, take them out there in both of us and UK shops. Um, and then other thing that I wanted to mention is on Saturday I will be joining the, pull your finger out. What finger where it was, I don’t know, but I’ll be doing the pull your finger out charity stream for charity better if it’s sweet. Oh no, it’s a charity stream put together by my very good friendly and McEntire uh, to benefit those effected by the Australian Bush fires. Um, so that’s going on from 11 to five on Saturday. Um, our good friends at retro replay are hosting it, so check it out on youtube.com/c/retro replay. I’ll be joining around 3:00 PM. If you want to come show the critter love, I would appreciate it. Thank you Laura. All right then I believe that concludes our announcements for the evening. So let’s go ahead and jump into tonight’s episode of critical role. [inaudible] they were always beside you and the D M check you and they rise from the flames. [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] and welcome back. So, Oh, happy to have you join us. Just brush my teeth again. Is that how you keep them so large? [inaudible] man, that is evil twin Matthew. I get one. Every center should be nervous. So last we left off. [inaudible] the mighty nine had brokered a coming negotiation between the warring nations of the dwindling empire and the Korean dynasty set to occur somewhere in the loose sitting ocean between naked rawness and the white Tom lagoon. Not for roughly four weeks out, I think it was when they had confirmed it. You also heard that they had acquired and arrested vents, the fugitive who was part of the angel of irons cult. And in the interim, you made your way back to shore hos you made it to your home. There’s your house and had an evening to rest after an extended period of extreme duress and stress the recovery. You have your friend Yasha, uh, some underground pity fighting, uh, and uh, dinner with ESIC after an invitation and wow in which, uh, got a chance to know each other a little better. You then in discussing kind of your plans moving forward some possibilities and pursuing some of the various goals that still remain looming for a few of you, you were greeted by ESIC and he offered at one point to help you with this strange problem you were having with this equation for the spell that you had been developing since discovering its early sketches essentially, or the first half of its development by [inaudible] within his happy fun ball. As you bubble with the aid of Essec, both not and Caleb up in his tower finished the development of this spell. You all rushed to gather your materials that were required for its casting and watched as Caleb prepared the ritual to bring not back to her original form the body. She meant to have the ritual progressed seemingly without issue until the moment in which the transition, the body was meant to happen reaching towards it. However, the magic was balked by some sort of dark power, a curse that remained laid upon, not preventing it from succeeding, locking herself still to the current goblin body that she’s grown to love. Well maybe bring a little more comfortable with it since then, but she sure doesn’t like her teeth anymore. Yeah. As the ritual comes to a unexpected and you look as the clay element of the tub that have been, uh, non had been placed upon has shattered and scattered across the room, the magic itself suddenly flaring out the sigil that marked the ritual going cold and all of you look down to see not they’re sending in top of the broken sections of hardened clay, a goblin as she’s always been since you met her, Caitlin just starts checking his notes and everything that they worked on together to see what went wrong. It didn’t, it didn’t work. Did it? I think you’re a little less green than you were before. Just look at my hands and stuff. It looks the same. Unchanged. Yes. Look all around and see if it’s all the same years and they’ll check back of the head flex of dry Brown clay that had gotten wedged and elements of the hair. But beyond that, no noticeable change. They’re still not, huh? I ha well, I mean, did you do it right? Did he do it right? That’s, that goes up from what I could observe of this ritual. Everything was done to the required specifications. Meticulous. Yes, you are. Did you all hear that the kid wants a woman, the woman laughing? Both of you heard it. I didn’t know what you’re talking about. No, no, no. That’s where nothing. I hope not. I heard it. What did it sound like? It sounded distant and evil and it sounded like, I mean, the only person I can think of is the person who did this to me. This, this woman, this MEJ woman. It sounded like her. Maybe. Maybe she was. Did it sound like when I send you a message, I don’t know that you’ve ever sent me a message. I’m going to send not to message right now. Okay. What are you going to say? I’m going to say this is weird being right next to, is it going to be like feedback on like a delay? Can you, what does it sound? Oh, I got, I have to leave the room. Go downstairs or I leave the room. Okay, go. Does it sound like, does it sound like this? Does, did sound like that. The laughing, did it sound like that? Uh, a different kind of sense. This is a, this is a series of boards being placed into your mind, into your, like very aware consciousness. The laughter felt deep seated within you. Not the same. No. It’s gotta be exactly that. Does that mean she’s watching me? She’s, she’s haunting me. She still has some sort of grasp on you. Yeah, my gosh. Do you think she can hear everything you do? Has she been with us this whole time? Who is she? You mean? And the funny thing about her not, go for it again. You know, minds tell us the story again. Oh, well, um, uh, I’ll see. I’ll skip the skip some of it. Um, the pertinent parts are, um, they, they took me to a river. They drowned me and that’s all I remembered for a long time. Except then when I woke up, I was, it was to the sound of that laughter. Who was to the sound of, of that woman? Mmm. Just enjoying whatever she had done to me. I was, I’m in a sort of a state of shock and I, I, uh, I didn’t feel like myself. I wasn’t sure what was going on. Things sounded louder and felt different and my body was colder and I wasn’t paying much attention. But she was there. She was robed and she was older. And you were out at the river still? No, they had taken me somewhere to her home. Uh, did she seem, did she seem short? Taller than me? Surrounding landscape. Okay. Well, it wasn’t felt or when, um, it was, it was, it wasn’t a terribly far, but I, it was a wooded area at the, at the base or, or in some mountains. I will. What did mountainous area, how did you get out? They took me, the goblins were still there. And you saw yourself leave from this layer, this house at the base of the mountains? Well, yes, they, they put me in the back of a, just some sort of a cart and tied me up and brought me with them to map out which one would switch the have so many, well not near, but not terribly far. What’s your take us back to this river. Where’s our empire? Never was close to Feldon and I know they did not take you that father cannot be many mountains. Let’s look at the methods. Look at the map. Where’s the map? I’ve been sharing them with y’all show. Okay. It was days and travel. One. One student had been, when she had relocated they pulled you away. Um, but you never left or when once you left the mountains, you know you were in the marrow Valley. Okay. This is all middle Valley. Yeah. The whole marrow Valley is kind of a Southern area of the empire. Take you to get back to your goblin. I wasn’t counting, I was mostly crying and trying to tear at my bindings. And Daniel are emotional state. I know a day, two, three, maybe also we sweet. We were, we were, we were stopping frequently. They were doing raids on the way. I don’t know how long it would have taken if we had driven straight through, wait, what, why did they take you to the river to DRAM you anyway. Why do you think they chose you to do this? Well, I had, I had, I had killed one of them and they, they didn’t like that very much. I had killed their, uh, their leader and, um, in, in my frantic, um, escape, I had a, I’d killed their leader and his, uh, his wife was not very happy about that. And she, what does it make an example of me or punish me in a way that was much more cruel than death. Why do you want to restore yourself, don’t you? Of course. And then we have to go there. Why, how, how, what are you talking about to find this woman and kill her? This woman, we have to approach this village of goblins. You’re talking about to find some sort of lead or, or go to the place of your, you’re drowning. You have the Copeland’s crit. Esentially hopefully take us back to her, point us in that direction. And then what we have to, we’re just saying, I was distracted by looking at the map about some woman wanting to punish you. What did you do with the goblins? They, they didn’t just kill me because I had a, I had killed one of one of their own, their chief or whatever and, and his wife was not very pleased and so she, and so the bow can be reminded of things that we’ve already heard. You killed the chief because why? I use it. I was escaping. I was trying to escape. Why were you captured in the first place? They had captured many of us from the village and including my husband and my baby. And uh, we escaped one night. I had them, we split off because I was faster and I drew well faster than yes. I mean, he’s, he’s a bit of a nerd, you know, nerves can be fast. I cannot be. Um, so we split up. They got away, but I was captured and in my struggle, I, uh, I got it in a good shot. Okay. That was right. We should try and find these goblins again. I know how terrible that must be, but that would be the fastest way to do what though. I mean, find this woman and what? Tell her to undo what she has done. Otherwise, what if we, what if we kill her and it doesn’t wear off? What if it’s permanent? What if it’s coerced? We will wait. Maybe we can try like a great restoration sort of thing and break a curse. Does that work? What would we know about this person? Does sound like a curse? Um, you can go ahead and make a religion check. That’s a residual laugh on a true sounds like 17, 17. The nature of what prevented you from breaking through this spell wasn’t any sort like [inaudible], AB duration based defense. It wasn’t any sort of arcane deflection. This was something outside of the spectrum of a general arcane development. It was to something older and something with a little more of a, a divine or outside magical force than what you’re used to dealing with. The best thing you can attribute it to with your experiences, a curse or something that has laid deeply within that can resist a spell such as what you’re attempting to have its own rules. Yeah. Which we have, we have encountered curses to an extent before lesser ones. Yeah. Less than one. And there’s no, the only way to break it is to find the, the, the caster. Is that right? We don’t know. But what is the other dispel magic. What is the alternative? Did it work? A level G catheter. Okay. You cast a spell magic on that? Yeah. At six level. Okay. Well maybe it worked. Do you feel any different? You don’t look any different? Do you have chills? Are they multiplying their control? And I remember that. Okay. I feel the same. I hate, so the woman that you can remember turning you into this form wasn’t a goblin, was no, no, no. Was she, she was a human. She was a humanoid. Are humanoid, uh, older, uh, robed. Um, you were looking up at her. So it’s hard to remember the details and the only kind of caught a glimpse of her and the surroundings, but she definitely seemed to be like an older humanoid human type face. But definitely like deep set, um, lines. Uh, you can hear, you can hear the brief instance of the laughter and then, uh, the only words you recall her saying that with, uh, a debt has been paid. Okay. I can pay that. That is would be like the goblin Zotero debt or no shield. The goggles, you must’ve wrote them attack is what it sounds like. This, this goblin, uh, wife, uh, settled up with whoever this woman was and an exchange was made and she must be close to that place and otherwise you will just have to throw up your hands and accept it. It’s the only option of course, but I mean we would have to go and find, find the goblins who, who, who did this first and, and there’s many of them and they move a lot. Got cotton mouth. Does anybody want anything to drink or are we still in the, where are we still in Essex tower? We should go. Why don’t we go, why don’t we go back home? Go back to the shore house. Got an itching. What is the road? Are you okay? She’s like sweaty all of a sudden. Let’s go back to the, um, you’re feeling sick a little. Yeah. We should get you back then and we can pick this up there. Um, she does this. It’s an extreme case of syphilis itself. This is once in a while, so you know, she’s takes some [inaudible] under wraps, but thanks Caleb or their friends. We are, we’re good friends, aren’t we? As like a pet of the day. My apologies that this did not work in your favor. Thank you for helping us get this far. Thank you for everything. Yeah. I hope that cheese was all right. It was delicious. Your pastries could use some work, but the cheese was delicious except a criticism. It’s all right if I take a little the cheese to punish the bakery. So sorry. Punished ESIC. Just order better things next time. There was attempting intro, Oh, sorry for DCO. Crack of a smile, digging up your garden back there too. Just find easy to fix. Um, anyway, I’ve sorry. Then to dash like this of course put together your Gorge and again I can have uh, some sevens take care of that. Okay, we’ll see you soon. She snaps back like that. She’s like that wonderful kind of gestures for you to make your exit as, as you’re about to leave Keller to kind of like grabs your shoulder from any of those. Like if if it’s all possible. Um, because I helped author the completion of this, would I be able to make a copy of this both for my own records? Of course. I would not have been able to do it without you. Wonderful. It’s, this is your spell as well as mine. Thank you. And the arch majors, you know, we’ll talk so closely when you speak to one another. We didn’t want to upset you. I know how you get when they, when it flares like that. So let’s get you home. I stopped to walk. All right once in the street. Do you really have syphilis? There was no sharing. Seriously. He’ll spotting little splotchy what’s going on. But no, I just, while I was also just trying to leave, Oh my God, there were some shit in the clay or something. Not how do you feel? Maybe there were like parasites or something talking about, are you actually itchy? No, I just, it, it’s all like freakishly remind, uh, familiar. It’s reminding me of stuff that my father baffled about all the fucking time. What is my story? Let’s take this back to the shore house. Okay. Caleb starts leading just walking towards the home. I’m pretty sure I broke the car, so not, we should just try this fell again. I’m pretty sure I broke it. I should try it. Is there an actual rash happening here? Is both your perception of passive perception of 19 is, yeah, my passive perception is like a cartoonish. Yeah. Um, did she check beyond just the, the red marks for her scratching doesn’t appear to be any sort of actual rash or can I, can I come over and just may I, may I, may I look at the whatever come on. Do you mind if I take, is that what itches over there? Are you actually having a rash or that are just, these are just scratch marks. They rub those arms. Scratch marks. She’s scratching in the wrong part of the road play. Everybody started wearing touch that chair. Let’s make sure you don’t come into contact with any synthetic fabrics. I think in this instance we should definitely focus on foe because she’s in way worse shape than I am. Maybe? No, no way. You said you had cotton mouth so, Oh yeah, we just pass the trash. Sorry. She didn’t say, now it’s trumpet. These instruments show show trumpet helps with cotton mouth. Oh, rewind. Greer said that it reminded you of something. What my dad said, he made a deal with a woman in the woods, like an old fortune teller woman. Okay. Did she say she had the weird laugh or that she was in the robes and she did something with goblins. He, he wanted to be successful and to be wealthy and to have the ability to marry my mother. He was just a poor asshole street urchins who is in love with this lady of the town. And it worked in a, in a way, it’s, he built his entire fucking life around this fortune teller around in a fucking taro deck basically. But did it work as he riches? He married to your mom? She, yeah, but he, she said that he would just, he would be successful and that she told him that he should start, he should buy a plot of land and just try tried farming. And he ended up buying the shitty piece land that no one wanted, cause they couldn’t grow anything and he was able to get grapes to grow. And then, then you turned it into this really successful winery. But he busted his ass doing it. It wasn’t that he, he had fortune or in the future told he just, but what about the woman’s like what did, what did she, did he say how he found her? Like how, talk about debts or something. Also, you should live very far away from each other. Now many fairytales with an old crone in the woods here. Right? What are you proud of? How is over here? If she lives in the mountains or something, maybe Bowes full inches from each other. Should we ask, your dad is Mount materie, what is Mount materie? What does that, what does that mean? Commentary actually is right in this region. That’s Dave. That’s a day that’s a couple of days traveling from featherweight. I mean we’re really, is that where he met this fall? He said he, he walked on foot. He heard about some woman who could trade. She had a home in the woods, in the mountains, home in the woods and he just walked barefoot until you eventually found her. I’m sending up a little circle and she, he asked how he could find his own wealth and she told him that, um, he would be successful and that he would have a successful winery and then he would marry the woman he loved and that he would birth a young bow to inherit the family business. And he took it. So literally that he named me bow. Oh, your dad is sliced civil or several slashers yeah, piece of Javed that he gave me. It’s like, it’s the only thing that I keep on me. It was like the only real gift he ever gave me cause he thought it would protect me. He always gave me good luck. Trinkets. Just, it’s just, it’s just a good luck trigger. Just a piece. Just a J necklace. Never checked. Caleb shook it out. Is it okay? You know, this has been a rough day, but in the last like six hours, we’ve learned that conduces and Ford, our brothers, we’ve learned everything about you and me. Maybe we should all just say everything that’s ever happened to us in our lives. Well, I told my story before. Why didn’t you ever hear it before? Because it age a woman dowsing you in a river could be any old woman. I did. How? I don’t know. It’s hard to hear on this side of the table. I thought it a coincidence. I didn’t think it had any merit to connect our pasts. It sounded vague enough. I don’t know. How can, can you ask your father what this woman looked like? What was her name or where she was found or can you send him a message? You’ve got a message. Oh yeah. Yeah. He’ll kill, kill, kill. What if I send him a message? I pretend to be the old course. That’s a no brainer. Yeah. Well, I didn’t know how to pretending to be. I just read the little bit. I didn’t know as pretending to be, but this time I will pretend to be the old woman, the old woman man, and where do I land? Tell me that if you could tell me that though. You’re free for Margaret. Crap says don’t do that. [inaudible] about that moment. You see conduces who has prepared a small circle of of trinkets, implements are on the ground, fall into a momentary trans, produces all the sounds of chatting and bickering and confused. Raised voices here in the house begin to fade as you feel the familiar warm breeze blow over you. You can sense the clouds above traveling at a far greater speed. Time begins to accelerate but slow to a crawl simultaneously and you feel the warm, familiar presence of your protection. Those are the woman who curse, not live. The breeze comes cold and biting. Not in a way to deny it, but in a way that shivers the truth through you. How’s this preacher ever had a conversation with Beau’s? Father, the cold breeze risens and then billows with equal strength, yes or no? Yes from me. That was my family away from me at the menagerie. The cold breeze comes once more, but this time it turns warm to confirm as well. But this answer with less intensity but all confirmations good. I regret my weakness. What did you learn? [inaudible] we need to go see your father. What do you mean you are good? Are you great? Your weakness? Wow. That wasn’t for you. Okay. We need to talk to your father. I don’t wanna. Oh yeah, but if you, we talked to your dad. We don’t have to go see the goblins. More to the point. We don’t know where the goblins are, but we do. Don’t worry. Your father is, if you don’t want to talk to your father, I could do it. Huh? I’m Bo. I don’t give a fuck. Fuck you dad. It’s pretty good actually. When was the last time that you saw your dad? [inaudible] slapped me across the face as I was getting drug out by the monks. He slapped you as you are leaving? Yeah. I really don’t like your dad. Yeah. He’s starting to like him even less than I did before. Yeah. He’s a complicated man. I don’t know. That didn’t sound too complicated. Yeah, but far our friend would you, would you? Yeah. Thank you Barbara. Oh God, yes. Thank you. But do we need to go there in person? It’s very far away. Kind of close to Reckson from person dash. You just send a message or if we’re going to go find her, we to go there anyway. It’s true. Yeah. We need to go to that region. We could warn your father that we are coming. I could take us to Sudan so I could travel on foot, but I don’t know if this is a conversation when I have in 25 words, we should go in person. You want to just show up at the doorstep? Wait, wait. We threw me off the doorstep, so why can’t I just fucking show up? That’s right. I’ll also point out up probably he’d have a hard time throwing you off the doorstep again at this point. That’s true. We could throw him off the doorstep and slap him across the face, right as we do it. But, but also being nice enough so that he’ll tell us the information that we’re going to make talk. You were mean in all seriousness. I do have it on pretty good authority that there is something to be gained. I’ve seen one’s parents once we’ve matured enough to how fragile they are. I appreciate all of you, uh, you know, committing to go and do these things on my behalf. But we had a plan. We have a plan. We’re going to conduce this as family and we are going to meet. We have to, I think we’ve every set the boat to meet us already. Or no, it’s weeks away. Weeks. But this is the other direction by thousands of miles. Not really. It, it is though. The menagerie is where South straight down. It’s been. What’s an hour he hasn’t loved yet. I can tell orderly, Hey, don’t meet the standard and meet us in. It’s not just me. It’s not, it’s not just about that. I mean there’s, there’s, there’s no immediacy. We don’t have to find this woman today. Kudusa see you were on a path. I don’t know if I’m quite ready yet. You seem to be. Hmm. I don’t know. I mean it’s not just you either. You’ve got a brother now. He wants to meet his family too. No, it’s not. No. Nope. See, resemblance doesn’t, you can’t deny the immense coincidence involved. Of course. Yes. That has to mean something. I don’t think it does. I think it does mean something. I just don’t necessarily think that we know what it means. And uh, I’ve, I mean it’s pretty obvious. No, it really isn’t. You have the same nose. We really don’t know. It is a torch with a different, it literally, it couldn’t be more different than that. As far better than mine. I like her hair. Is Cheryl calling. Yeah. Well that just that, no, it’s a lot. Yeah, that’s a lot. And sometimes coincidences are just coincidences. Exactly. You know, your dad interacted with the person that you know, curse your friend for sure. [inaudible] I’m the wild mother. It’s, yeah. I mean we’re going in the right direction for talk to the wild. Oh I’m sorry. Your conduces get them mixed up sometimes cause they’re so similar. It’s bothered me. I’ve been trying to think of a way that help you fro, for a long while, not in what I can do to everyone is easier to help with their struggles. You are complicated and it’s been difficult. This. It’s nice to finally have a path forward as a way to help you as plus what is it? What if this is not the only hold that she has over you? I mean she prevented a tremendously powerful spell from taking effect. What if there’s something else? We have to find out what this leads to. We don’t have to confront your dad or even involve you if you’ll really uncomfortable about it. We’re not forcing anyone to do anything, but I think we need to clear your [inaudible]. Gotcha. Do you have access to the library to research? If you want a dash Lauren? Pretty much any of the Kubota libraries, but that’s the nearest one there. It’s all you have. We have been working toward, I know, but I, you know, I’m being honest. We got so close and it got me like I had a little bit of a cold, cold feet. What do you mean you got really close? You committed to it. I know you feel relief a little bit. Yeah. Sometimes when you play any me, my name. Oh cause you don’t know which choice you want and then you get to the Mo and then you know at the end if you wanted the thing or if he didn’t want the thing by what you learned on. You know what I mean? It kind of makes the choice for you when you find out what you can and can’t do. I know. I do know what you mean, but we’ll put it, I mean I can’t, I have to, I have to pursue it. I, I do want to be me again. It just, it was happening so fast. It was a little scary. I mean, could you, since you said you’re not ready yet. I don’t know if I’m ready yet. I don’t know if I’m ready to see my dad yet, but that’s a bunch of us and I’m waiting for something to happen to us and I’ve accepted the inevitability that when we head towards traveler that we’re going to be right where I need to be. That’s inevitable. That’s gravity pulling me there. I don’t. And then we have to spend the time before that doing as much as we can for everybody. How long has it been bill, since you’ve seen your father? How many years? Two. Three close to three years. What can happen in that amount of time? How would we get there? Cal purchase a dash. It’s still days away a few days, but then I would take us to nickel dramas. It’s not that far on horseback. I know I’ve done the Trek. Yeah, we ran she out to you since I got a letter from my mother about six months or so, maybe more being at the cobalt soul saying, um, that they had been granted the greatest wish and had a son named him Thoreau junior after my father. How many years ago? Yeah. I guess he’s like to know you had another with your brother. You want to, it’s hard to even think of him as my brother. No connection or context for the kid. He’s just a name and a letter. When you see him, you’ll feel that way. Maybe you said that the, the, the woman told your father that he would have a bow and that that would do what? That, that would complete the spell or what is that and young bow to take on his name, continuous bloodline and take over his family business and all of those things. And it means like boyfriend or boy was just a bully I think so it has a few different interpretations and he thought he was getting a boy. So as soon as my mom got pregnant, he got really sad on that son. And you know, for a long time I tried to been in my life to what he wanted. I was willing to take over the family business. Okay. I just wanted to do it in my way and he didn’t want that to do away look like I liked traveling and fighting and talking to people. So I wanted to take the lion at wine and take it to neighboring cities and expand it into as a dash. And we get this big name and I tried to convince him several times to load up a cart and a couple horses and give me a few crates and let me take off and see what I could do. Selling crates to different taverns, anyone who would take it, and he thought that that was a useless waste of time and that I would get hurt. Something would have happened to me and that it was best if I just learned how to crunch numbers and do accounting and balance books. He didn’t want me to leave. He never wanted me to leave because he was terrified that fate was going to come knocking at his door. And then one day I realized that I was building my whole life around what someone else told him his life was going to be and that it was this in this fucking cycle of everyone chasing a destiny. Empire. Fathers do love their sons. Yes they do. He was very protective of you and always felt selfish. Like if something happened to me, his entire fucking dynasty would come crumbling down around him. Picture of your family. Now they’re very successful in this area. Does that mean that you lived on an estate? Is there security? Does your father had men? What is this? Simple as walking up and knocking on the door. Pretty big winery, big house, few stories, very upper-class life that he built. Does my dad have any men? We haven’t brought any cards. My rare couple, he probably had a, uh, a couple of folks that worked at to both just washed the premises they lived at and to keep watch on the storage of their wine’s supposed to process. Not really the messenger. Does he know how capable you are in battle bull? Cause you’re one of the best fighters I’ve ever seen. I don’t know what he knows. Hmm. Him giving me away was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. It led me to all of you. We should let them know that I can see what got away. We have to speak to him even if we don’t go trudging into the mountains or into the middle of a goblin camp. We Pete, to find out. We’ve talked about it for ages. Yeah, I know, I know. Yes, you’re, you’re right. You’re right. We have the time now we can follow this trail as far as we want and and, and both can lead. Yes. And I suppose even after we find this woman, I don’t have to do the thing right away. Exactly. From not feeling it right. We can get this an open offer. We’d go find a woman, we destroy her or we destroy the curse, whichever. At least would take a step in that direction. And then you can be free to do whatever you want to. If we destroy her or destroy her magic, does that somehow mean that Beau’s father will lose everything? I think so. I’ll say I don’t think so either. Like you won’t die or anything. Right. Be sort of like a back to the [inaudible] the true situation. We’ll put him because whatever deal he made with her, I’m sure she traded something pretty valuable for it. I don’t know if there’s any way to know. I’ve toured the sword and the lover and that was it. I’m sure if we did your Ford right. That was it for patella. Sorry, Trump. Mr [inaudible] again, it’s getting tighter and tighter. These times spoons into pieces. Thank you. Thank you. Dope. I don’t know. I think that if we did destroy this [inaudible] women would not undo time. It would maybe at worst spoil the land if that. Well, it’s [inaudible] evening. Uh, no, it’s, it’s, uh, after all the work and pairing for the ritual that you guys did. It’s afternoon. I mean, do we go now? There we go. Now we’re going through the dash and we’re going through the Cobolt soul. We can do a little bit of research first before we leave. [inaudible] sweet. Sweet. Should we go now and then get horses and leave in the morning from, yeah, we can always do a night in my room. Oh yeah. All of us just pile in. Yeah. This is exciting. Totally serious, but exciting. Yeah. Yeah. No. Yeah. It’s exciting. Yeah. Yup. All right. Hang on. Everyone makes sure everything’s unplugged. Um, just turn off the hot water heater opens off. All right. I’m gonna go upstairs. Check. It’s like some fruit over here. Should we just, I mean, what are we going to do with 12 oranges? I take them with us. I will eat that shit. Caleb goes to their shed laboratory and just does 90% of what is required to travel to as the national. What’s still, everyone was right. Fair enough. During the hot tub you drain, you drain your hot tub to fill back up, come back to the green water. It’s terrible. Best for everything. Alrighty. Um, is there anything that he needs to prep before you make your way towards Caleb’s teleportation circle? Feel pretty good. That gets really sweaty sex yourself. You don’t need to tell her a secret leaving and don’t need to do anything. Yeah. Last thing I said to them is that we would see him soon. All, Hey, as sick we’re going to find that evil laughing lady. So that means we’ll be back. I don’t know when we’ll be at the negotiations though. Don’t worry. Breakfast was fun. He got most of that response very well. Um, I have my own business to attend to as well, so, uh, good luck and I’m sure we’ll cross paths again. Medicine. He says he loves you so much, Kayla and Kayla in such check. Yeah, that was great. Uh, that is, uh, that is a 23. You make an assumption check testing. No. Alrighty. [inaudible] you’ve gathered your things from the shore house. You go and meet Caleb in the liberal oratory as he completes the majority of the teleportation circle with the central sigil. That leads you towards the dash. This a dog. He finishes the final marking. You see it light up in the familiar sense. The doorway is open. You rush through one after the worst. Oh, the track man. Turn to the familiar underground teleportation nexus of the Kobold soul where two of the guards and they spin around. I’m sorry, I’m S I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to do the last marking on the floor. I got a little overexcited, right? Hmm. Roll call. I’m the one that does it. I should have sent them Sunday. I wasn’t thinking of people under, you know, being in on office hours Sunday every day. Then you lose track of the days. Then your ears fall off. Let’s reset some shit. All right, so you have access to the couple of subs. Anything you want to specifically try and research? Now’s the time to do something. Is there a book on old grant wishes? Is there? There’s gotta be right, like myths and then local myths. Yeah. Well, what is it you’re trying to research I guess is more the question of the worldly deal makers. All ladies and woods in fortune chem, the mysterious women who grant wishes who live in the forest calendar of this year. It’s gotta be a calendar. I found a calendar for men with plants this week. Not kidding. It was just pictures of men with plants. They’ve got a calendar forever that tells an endorsed, um, who wants, who wants to research? Why, what preparation you do? And like what, who’s, who’s looking for what? I’m going to hit local myths, local myths like that. Sound like old hags and fairytales in Kamado. I will assist the power research too. I’m going to do, uh, uh, any, any books about a goblin movements around the [inaudible] travel patterns. Uh, go ahead and make, if you’re assisting, go ahead and make an investigation. Check with advantage or advantage? 24, 24, 23, 23 to 23. I’m still pretty damn good. Um, that’s actually really good. Uh, okay. So would you end up finding is, uh, a record of somewhat, I’d say known, but at least spoken about soothsayers and hermits that kind of fits similar to the realm of what you’re looking for? Um, within the region or the marrow Valley, there’s, there’s a number of them. There’s some that are up North. There’s some that kind of, uh, you know, wonder through these Sirios mountains that come in, you know, the menagerie coast side. There is a talking of one hermit that lives like way, way out in the luxury coast. This is kind of like, uh, like female protector of the Island, uh, creatures, all these different unique stories and stuff. There’s one that you, there’s two that you find that are local to the kind of, the area are looking in the marrow Valley. One is, uh, [inaudible] the prison Sage, uh, I, the [inaudible] the prison say, do I dare ask you to spell that? I S H. a. R. N. a. I Ishtar prison, the prison of stage, a woman who lives alone among the serious mountain woods North of the Braum kin Hills. She wields strange magics weaving boons Texas for those who make the journey to find her demanding high prices for her deeds. Sometimes beyond mere coins. You also find old mascara, old, old musky hair, M a. S. Q, I E. R golden SKR is a mosquito, is a, uh, a gnarled gnome of tourists temperament who migrates through the siren green forest, known to take sides with the forest over civilization. He has both been a healer and an adversary to some over the decades, depending on the disposition when encounter. No, Mitch man, that sounds like not the right, what was his name? Old. Old [inaudible] correct. Common sense. Where’s that? Is that a good forest? Is here. Okay. Okay. And the other is North of Brown can Hills in halos. Oh, I’m excited by both of these options. [inaudible] Scott to be a Shar NAI. Does that live or there are those are those, those are, those are the two that you find that kind of match what you’re looking for loosely as far as like, you know, Herman had sages and you know, soothsayers people that deal in this sort of stuff that you’re looking for in the region. Any other detail in his Sharna all say how long these stories go back? Anything? Uh, the, the stories go back about 50 or so years and, and they’re just kind of, you know, loose mutterings of people who had encounters with both of them. Okay. All right. That’s mine. That’s my role. Okay. That’s pretty good, right? Yeah. Hey, maybe I can try scrying on [inaudible]. [inaudible] describe what she looks like again. Well, um, she’s a human, so sort of like Bo except way older. Okay. And not a strong like bow and also with like a hood and also not looking anything like Beauregard in any way. Like basically just human, like a human, like old as human. Yeah. Yeah. Like saggy jowls. And are you sure it was a human and not like a half hour? You know what? I’m really not, no humanoid old as humanoid. Old as humanoid in robes. Yeah. That day. And she said dead paid and her voice sounded like this. Her, that Bay sounded like you. Yeah. Okay. Do you want role in intelligence? Check for me. Just a straight intelligence. 13, 13. Okay. You have a fairly decent recollection of what she looks like from the brief moment you encountered. You actually like a pretty good mental image to make yourself look later. I can try. I will cast whatever that is. These guys dispose self thanks and do my best. There’s some like blurry bits. Yeah. There’s no hood beyond the one that knot has. So there’s no clothing element to breathe and breath from the face that you can see. You see what appears to be humanoid woman. Um, elongated features. Um, if you know, like, like very high cheekbones that can ARIDE the side of the face back far. Um, jab walls that seem very deep within hang below and like almost like a, like a, like a droopy dog type aesthetic though. Um, but far less adorable. It, um, these kind of dull green eyes browse. She looked like other worldly to me it rides a line. Okay. Because I didn’t see her hair pretty straight. I’m going to just make it a Mohawk and because I didn’t see like her body very much, I’m just gonna make it look like three cobalts. I’m gonna focus on faith, but it is quite aside for the rest of it. I’m going to try [inaudible] on her. Okay. So you’re sitting down to attempt a scribe ritual in the library. Okay. As you’re, as you’re like sketching it up, one of the amongst cause like, um, I’m sorry. Miss huh? There was Marine one and the other was nothing. Continue in ministry. You finish the spell, you close your eyes, reach your consciousness out to the traveler to take you where it needs to be. Um, the traveler kind of, uh, you see the sleeves emerge from the ether around you, like the imagery of the arms, kind of touching and kind of framing yours like a, like a, like a Papa bear over the Cub. My tattoo a little bit. Yeah. Um, and as you do, you feel your consciousness drift out of the library brought up into the clouds once more rushed through the darkened terrain bearing sky until eventually you’re brought down rapidly through fog and through mist into the tree tops. You come through brambles, forests and dark, dangerous wood and Rocky mountain side cliffs before you come to rest, which seems like the interior of some sort of a house, small, dense, cluttered, organized in a way. Everything has its place, but it is very, very jam packed, filled. You see that the radius, what looks like the outline of, of many collected, uh, books, papers, uh, broken land in pieces, uh, elements of, of animal bone. And you can see what looks to be a large collection of jars and, and vials of things that you can’t quite make out. The details of what’s inside. Um, you see just in the corner, uh, what looks to be a collection of, of stones that are kind of arranged in a pattern. And then in the center of the chamber you see a woman wrapped in heavy tattered robes with it’s like long elements of gold from rope kind of wrapped around shoulder to side, shoulder to side, kind of holding it on in a very kind of unique sort of ready to travel pattern. Um, you see the familiar face of her currently looking down and grasp some of these kind of arranged runes in the side arms, long arms are long, the finger is kind of extending outward, reminding you of Keyona the keen, the physicality that matches. Um, the movement seems while you were debating the human aspect of her with the visual element of the illusion, the physicality of her definitely scatters. And the idea of your standard human soothsayer, um, unable to really gauge size. It’s hard to tell, but the movements themselves are a sweeping, unnatural grace to rapid grasps and then snatching as she takes some of these arranged runes and you can see to the ground in front of her, there are these unique sketches with looks almost like, like charcoal of some time that give these small circles. She takes the runes and scatters them onto the ground. If they all scatter and then arrange almost like there are magnets holding them to place. Did the runes look familiar to me at all? They’re just outside of the range to make any detail that you can see them hitting and scattering into place. At which point her eyes go, oops, you can’t converse through it. She just slowly stands up, very aware of the the scrying arcane bottle that you’ve sent there and kind of just puts the arms almost wrapping around it and just kind of goes. Curiosity is P I hope this means I’m mapping visits. Oh my God. Did she see you? Did she know who you are? I don’t know. I don’t know if she saw me. I don’t know if she saw who I wasn’t. Don’t know. I don’t know. She just said that she thought she was going to have a company cause she sold. The thing was go. I was looking at her. She had the really long arms and she’s scared as fuck. Oh there it goes. The element of surprise. Oh my God. Oh my gosh. She must be very close to my scribing. The high. It was so close. Did you see up her nose? I mean, I saw like I saw hair coming out of it. I saw a booger hanging on the side of her nostrils. What did she, did she say anything? She said, what is this? Did you, can you, can you disguise yourself and make it look like I just kept this guy myself and I do it so Aaron can see how scary she was. Oh, and she has like, Oh, with the fingers. What is that? You can see the like gnarled clumps of hair that can adrift out of the sides of the robe themselves. Kind of tangled and nodded into these large kind of gather rats nest and walk up and start dancing next to fall or Oh, there are now they’re now four members of the cobalt soul library that are about 25 feet away going to others are coming to join. We have the 99 can we get bubbles? Does that ring any bells that visit? Have you seen this person? No. Okay. Does this look familiar? Does this look like? This looks like the woman. Yeah. Am I traumatizing everything that you want me to drop it? No, I mean I just looked like her a second ago so it’s fine. But then you can’t see that part, you know? That’s true. No, it’s fine. You did look super creepy though. Wait, you said she was laughing. She was laughing. Yes. And she seemed, she seemed to delight in whatever she did to me. Worked and I met. She had created something horrifying. Do you know something about her as well? No, I was just going to [inaudible] all of us. She’s really smart though. If she connects the dots that it’s you that did something about you that was crying on her because you know she just laughed the one cause she just laughed in your head. You know, it could’ve been from ages ago. That’s true. But maybe she’d get senses when it happens cause she’s really powerful. Let’s go get some drinks. Oh, that’s not a bad idea. You were done looking up everything. I think so. Let’s go down all of the information on where to find a serious mountain woods North of the Braum kin Hills within the cobalt soapbox. Okay, Kevin, she drew something. Some folks take a solid paycheck. Give me 1919 Oh wait, I gotta devote to it. Hold on, hold on. I’ll remind you. You’re guided by my guide for you. 2020 okay. You proceed to leave a series of and as, as tightly watched as you are, Bo’s presence leaves them a little more comfortable, but the fact that you’re there not having to look over your shoulder for the research you’re doing, you managed to leave a few of these sketches within the books. You find them put them away without being called on it. You’re uncertain if you’ve been noticed, but you certainly weren’t called out or publicly punished for it. Okay, we’re going to go get a drink. Are we staying in Bo’s house tonight or are we going to stay at dad’s place? Dad’s is a bit ways off. Yeah, we are in SunDash. We’ll probably never find a place to stay for the evening and set out in the morning. I was asked was the plows houses. I’m in Bo’s place. I’m talking about the gentleman, the gentleman, my mama, my dad, the evening nip the gentlemen, we got the room there too. You know whoever went the go. Maybe we’ll see where we end up after we drink. But Bowser room is nicer. But gentlemen, his house is yours. Your dad, right? Yep. Dad sees the thing. Should we go get drinks that isn’t leaky note and then have you told us that dad bed inspected it right? Or you have a confirmation? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean I’m assuming that I told you. Okay. Yeah. Little roommates out there all [inaudible]. Yeah. Yeah. You guys see those way. Definitely told me. He is definitely totally mad that y’all shot. My dad is the Jackson, then the, the, the blue guy, the water. I’ll drink a who has all of our blood on file, but now we know he’s going to be cool about it cause he’s, my daddy’s not going to do anything. That’s really cool. He seemed really cool. He is. I really, I liked him. I feel weird that he has, uh, some of my blood, but I really like him. I think it’s very cool if you found your dad. I feel like the moral of the last couple of months is dads can do some messed up things. I don’t know if he’s my dad. He’s not going to do anything. I’m cool. It’s really the moral we’re supposed to walk away with. I am pretty Charlotte’s. That’s what it is. Well, we have options. We can go to the leaky tap. We can go to the evening. Then we can go to the song and supper in. It’s a karaoke bar. We can go up to the pillow trove. We can go to chastities Nick pawn shop. We can go to always this all adoption only has public souls. Is he making us anything? Nope. No, no. Cheap love. Yasha book. Nope. There’s one right there. We’re going to go to the karaoke place. No, it’s too loud. Karaoke. Blaze. Let’s go to the little saying. Yeah, let’s go. So nice. When people do karaoke, they try too hard. No. You have your song that you go, you guys have a song that you always sing and you’re good at it. You always sing sweet Caroline. How does it go? Well, it’s in, it’s in a Bissell. At Bissell. So it goes like this. Okay. No. Wow. You like a lot of those. You said, you said you had sentences that sometimes didn’t make sense. I learned it like third hand, you know, and I think all the people, you know, they had a selection of songs and some of them were in a Bissell. I think they got their book from like an epistle carrier. That’s your go to though. Well, I mean nobody sang those songs, so I felt like those were more open games. Everyone kept singing the same songs, said something like back, good times. Never felt so flute. It was like wrong. These good times never felt so good. I think that makes a lot. Doesn’t make any sense. Good timing. Never felt so good. Lyrics good. This shit has gone. No, no. We already got some music from. There’s the leaky tap and there’s the evening. Then where are you going in between the two places. Okay. All right. We should send him money for the us. Alrighty. Both businesses hate us. So make your way to the familiar dive bar and see evening nip. Remember the, let me get a password non let down within the subterranean bar. Um, it’s a bit empty at the moment. Uh, this point not in how you sir, whether people are busy or have other business to take care of. Uh, the gentleman is not immediately in the bar, but you are recognized upon arrival and are allowed your uh, use of the space. There is a bartender, there is in the process of like half sleeping in the corner that as soon as you approach and speak with the familiar ogre, a bodyguard of the interior, it’s like, right. Let’s see in a, the bartender hand shoots up and uh, can I get you drags? Yeah. She’s a wild and crazy guy. What, what, what would you want that in? Whiskey. Whiskey. All around whiskey. Who’s Misty juice milk? I really hope you brings you a whiskey juice. What’s a whiskey juice? That’s fine. That brings around a shots shot. A whiskey shot, a whiskey shot, a whiskey shot, a whiskey, milk, juice, whiskey. All right. Autumn top. That is a very, very terrible tasting. Strong pungent juice. Very strong bite to it. Got something for this. Hold on. Same with the milk. That’s a whiskey milk. I’m going to put a little [inaudible] partially Curtis, a tiny bit of that. I’ve been saving some of the [inaudible] put some whipped cream, hallucinogenic fruit that I have now like preserved as best I can. I’m just to like use it like nutmeg and see if I can fix this. There we go. Okay. Upgrading this night they make it a light HASI and again it helps with distinctive flavor. Um, yeah. So you enjoy some drinks, you have a space, you know, to relax for a bit. Ask around for your, did your pops or no? Yeah, I’m going to go find my dad’s office. Go say hello. Okay. My calf to sky self to still look just like me, except forward in my clothes with my hair. I knew it just, just kind of try and like be off in the periphery. Periphery sitting, sitting there super tall now. No, I can actually, Oh yeah, I can do that. Have you ever had alcohol before? Yes. You have? Yeah, but not many times. That many times I didn’t down my milk. You can have my milk, whiskey milk if you want it. I feel like I’m okay. It’s got some lumps in it. That’s, you know. Oh, it would curdle Colonel Colonel. Oh, it’s chewy. Interesting. Tastes trunks. Yeah. I feel like I would just get the whiskey next time maybe. Yeah. Uh, you’re starting to feel a little funny. Yeah. Hello? I’m Ford. I’ll try. Wait, wait. Hello? I’m bored. Yeah, it’s, Oh, you being old. [inaudible] trying to do your, your accent. It’s, Oh, he’s going. Hello? Hello. All. No, very close. That’s pretty bad. I don’t know. I can’t remember. I don’t know. I, I can’t remember. Just like him though. I call, remember. I can’t, I can’t remember any tests with an Eldridge glass. Andrew’s blast. Ooh, that’s hard to say. Yeah. Glass black cut up in the moment. And it’s really cool when you do that though. Just wanted, you know, you know, it’s pretty, it’s pretty cool when you do that. As you come to the office door, that’s me. Yes. I’m here to say hi. Open the door. As you walk inside his office, you can see there’s a, his desk currently is strewn with some papers and uh, he’s putting something away and kind of turning in his chair to you. I had no idea you’d be joining me. I didn’t either. He just found out, Whoa, welcome. All your friends here as well. They are. They’re drinking. I told them it’s on the house. Sure. What’s, have you been up to business? What have you been up to? I tell him everything. Just like a launch into the whole thing as it progressed, as you’d like. Just leans further and further back in his chair until he hits the back of the chair. [inaudible] yeah. So anyway, we’ve got to find this weird creepy lady who told this AMI scrying on there. We’ve got to find out what’s the deal with this. We can break cars. Then we got to go to the then traveler con and some were fitting into that Clay’s family stuff. One of these days I’m going to have to teach you something I’ve learned at a very early age, which is how to, how to not have to do everything yourself. It’s much easier. Okay. I’m okay with that. Teach me your ways in time. Have you called mom? Have you sent the letter? Have you gone to see her? Have you been like, Oh my gosh, I miss you. No, there’s been a lot to take care of here. There’s in the midst of conflict, if done right in the empire can be a very profitable endeavor, but one has to be very on top of their organization to maintain it. So I’ve been, I’ve been working a lot. Well you make me well, will you do me a favor? Possibly. If by any chance when people offer you things or whatever, you come across smuggled items, um, that resembled the, the beacons that they told you about. Right, right. If you come across anything like that, we let me know before you try to sell it to another person for you. Yes, thank you. I’ll send you messages every once in awhile, just so you can get it to me if you, you know, cause we travel around a lot. Do you want know where I am? So of course, um, if I don’t respond, don’t take it personally, I might be indisposed like how many things, okay. Kill, kill, kill. Here’s the thing, what if I send you a message and you should have like a way to communicate with me that you’re in the spouse, like so that I can know you’re not just like in trouble, but you’re like boning somebody or your, you know, like in a meeting or something. You could be like, or you could be like, what have you just like cough when I sent, or like you, you say like a cough, a cough will do. Well I’ll cough and um, we’ll pick it up another time. Look at that. So we have a code. Um, can I sleep in the room tonight that he said we could have? Sure, sure. Thank you. That I’ll arrange it. He lasts in spite of himself. You could see him trying to organize being in a deep moment of thought and the the whirlwind of chaos that is gesture just blowing in like a storm. And in spite of his momentary frustration, you can’t help a crack a smile. Well say hello to your friends for me. Okay. Close the door on your way on. We have a room. So do you have to say elders blasts every time, or is that part of the spell or do you just do it because it’s just like, I’ve always wondered, is this just like showmanship? It’s like, it’s like, it’s, it’s like, it’s like going whoosh. Stay clear. Cause shit’s about to go down magicians judge and be really like, I’m going to hit you a little, maybe work that phrase more. It’s kind of ordinary. I’m going to kill you. Yeah, that’s good to hear. It comes. You’re okay. Sometimes though, it’s also good not to Telegraph what you’re about to do before you do it, because then you could surprise them. I’m going to heal you. And then you magicians branding’s very important. So maybe instead of going to hit you, what about I’m going to judge you. Hello. You have been judged. Oh, that’s good. That’s good. And could use this can be like, I’m going to Daggett a Trump. I do some on you. I’m going gonna I’m going to do the deuce. Yeah. Oh, with your dad. Oh my God. You guys. He loves me so much. Of course he does it. Who wants it not to? He said he said that we get have three drinks. He said that, um, if he runs across any beacons, he’ll let us know. Do you happen to ask him about any magical women in the woods or anything? I mean, we already know. Okay. What exactly we are looking for interaction with her in the past. I’ll pick up my head over to where Bo is. [inaudible] how are you doing? Great. You are a histamine. Reactions are going again. Fell away from the dash for a little bit. So the pollen is kicking a little, you know, I take it you don’t fully, fully hate your dad. It’s gotta be hard to hear this. If I can speak. They’re dead proud. You know. She’s so funny. Good. He could show some that you don’t know that he, cause it’s been years you’ve grown, you’ve changed. I’m sure you were even more of an unbearable ship before. Not saying he deserves a second chance, but he is your father and you do have a mother and brother that you’ve never met. I guess it’s hard. The word inevitable has been brought up several times past 24 hours amongst us. Okay. Feel like I’ve found my family with 99 and all like looking at my past because he doesn’t have the mighty nine in it and I think I put off the inevitable. I guess I’m going to, I’m afraid it’s going to be like my past. I don’t think one contaminates the other. Got good solid footing. Yeah. I mean shit, if we want to run you’d run. If we wanted to kick his ass, we’ll kick his ass. Yeah. I don’t want to kick his ass. No, I’m going to run. Can I ask you in your wildest dreams and feel free to save here to help, want to tell me what would you have happened when we go there? I think I’ve worked so hard because I scripted this day in my inevitable future that I would go back to him. Successful woman, respectable member of society, cobalt, soul. Then expositor the thing he threw me away too. And I embraced and then [inaudible] I would get mad at myself cause I felt like I was doing what he was doing to me my entire life, scripting me to be something else and I’m still doing it. I haven’t seen him in three years and I’m still trying to be [inaudible] something. And I think what’s scary is that I like this and what I found, and I don’t think it was until not started talking about having to go home and go away, it truly started terrifying me cause for the first time I’m happy. And what if that goes away? Go away, go away. Tonight gentleman’s debtors could come calling. And I think I know that. And I think I say things to not like, you don’t have to put those stipulations on yourself because I’ve convinced myself that destiny or the inevitability won’t come knocking. If you ignore it, it won’t exist and that’s not true. It’ll be interesting either way. Yo faces leaking. Hate it. Don’t tell anybody. Yeah, you’re a good friend. They’re a good trainer. We’re still working out tomorrow. Suddenly I go fuck. Cause I’m saying. Fair enough. Thank you. Cool. You’re still my captain ball eater or no, thank you. That’s you guys. [inaudible] finish your drinks. Wind down for the night. Share a bit of a rousing toast with the gentleman and T emergence from his work for the day. I need to go. Last mistake. Don’t message me for awhile. Oh, he’s going to go, you’re going to, maybe you might, you might want to just, just [inaudible] still. She claims it takes four hours per hat, but I don’t know. There’s a lot of hats in our house right now. There’s probably 15, 18, 20 hats in our house right now. Huge Bulger. Pretty your head to the left. There you go. Yeah. I don’t know. We can do this. What was it that ultimately convinced her to take the jump? I mean deep down she knew she was going to do it at some point and, uh, she wanted a moment to, you know, think about this is a big, it’s a big shift, big change. And you know, sometimes you want something so long and you’re right at the cusp of it, right on the edge of getting it and you’re like, Oh wait, do I really want this? I was also looking across the table and seeing us going, doing a chicken chick coward, do it. Well, there is a bit of like Sam, Sam Regal as a D and D player. I mean, you got to do stuff. Yeah. People are confused because they’re like, why is Marsha look particularly extra gorgeous today, right? Yup. Hey Travis. Yes. This was not the first time they could use this. Mentioned the name stone like we talked about a minute ago. Having told the story of stone dust and clay before, is there a reason it clicked with you now or were you just not listening to them? The question on everyone’s mind. No, I was not listening before. Okay. I check in and out. Thursday nights for me are a time to enjoy my friends. Some food Berisha she is a note taking machine. Why would I know? Why would you pay attention? You can’t be bothered with intricate storytellers. Oh look, this is how I got through college. I just looked at the person’s paper next to mine. It’s rule one. I remember off listened when you feel like, yep. It’s funny to me that your name and your last name is stone and you start at least in the theme song title sequence by sinking to the bottom of the ocean like stone. Are you fucking high? This is what high people think about. Yeah. Have you ever looked at a $2 bill? It looks like a $22 is there a guy in the bushes? I don’t know. Do you go from half baked, the greatest mover? You’re learning so much about ESIC in the previous episode and seeing him playing a major part and finishing that spell as well as the ritual for not. What is your respective characters opinion about him now? I’ll trust I don’t trust her. Ah, interesting. He just went from being cold and aloof to being all of a sudden like really warm and I know that there’s been time and I know he’s probably, he, it seems like he lives a very isolated life and he’s probably putting himself out there and all those things and with time he’ll a little show that he’s being genuine. All of our, all of our hunches where we were all on level five alert. We’ve also been giving essay. Like all of this, we’re spilling dirt left and right. Sharing secrets, giving him vials of of shit and telling them about extra dodecahedrons that are out there in the world. We really have opened up. Yeah, we’re making him look pretty good. Yeah. It could just be riding the coattails of the [inaudible]. Be surprised though if he, if he stabs in the back, not clearly loves he has a and Luke, but is she still in love with he as a, if they don’t have a child, if they didn’t have a child, would she be considering going back at all? I mean, I don’t know. I don’t know if she, she hasn’t been with him for awhile and she, she, like I said, she loves her new life. She loves these people. Had all these men ATARs walking around in front of her. She’s seen so much now. It’s hard to like be with your high school sweetheart and then be exposed to the, the world has, it isn’t on her mind every second of every day anymore. He used to be, well yeah, but there’s a lot going on. A little bit. A little bit. A little bit. Yeah. Yeah. Oh man. I feel guilty talking about yezza. He’s a fictional character and I feel, I feel like he’s watching the show and he’s like, what the fuck? What did you say? So you look here going, did you just make fun of my hat? It looks so cute doing it though. You’re dressed like Macaulay, cocaine. Do you have any lines in the new Beverly Hills cop or are you just robbing a Tiffany’s guys? I take a big swing with this outfit. Yeah. I mean we’ve got an 89 minutes of material out of it tonight, so I think it’s like, components of this outfit are things that I wear all the time. Yeah. But I think when you put them together, it just doesn’t feel right. I commented back at the office, you looked, you looked very nice. I did those words. You look like you wrote pitch perfect. I don’t know what that means. [inaudible] Regal. You just won the super bowl. What are you going to do now? I’m subscriber to [inaudible] wrote this about perseverance. Like remember your resubscribe with Twitch prime. Who? Every month I have done it without my teammates. Come on. No way. And they couldn’t have done it without the Twitch subscriptions that I gave them. Right guys? Yeah. What about, Oh, what about, what about what inspires me? You mean? Well, you hog game ranch really does. I mean, watching that dehydrated piece of string cheese, Brian Foster every couple of weeks really gets me pumped for the boot guy. You can’t believe it. You can’t believe it. That what you said. Well, it’s true because every year our VOD is instantly available. As soon as you subscribe, it’s amazing. You tell the guys, yeah, yeah. What? Sorry, I’m going to Disneyland. You’re doing a commercial for Disneyland’s. Oh, uh, what’s the Disneyland [inaudible] I dunno. I, I gotta be honest with you. Oh, I got hit in the head pretty hard out there. Oh my God. Not good at sports. [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] [inaudible] and welcome back. So we have our winner of the wormwood giveaway. The winner tonight is D, underscore, underscore man, D underscore underscore man. Congratulations. We’ll get that to you ASAP. So mighty nine, after the evenings rest in the morning, you come to and underneath the evening. Nip within the confines of the gentleman’s private, you can say organizational base. Um, the day is early and yours. What would you like to do? How long are we talking? Uh, you would know, I’d say you guys probably went to bed relatively early knowing you’d probably be traveling fairly quickly, so unless you want to get up any earlier, I would say naturally around like probably seven or eight in the morning. The day I travel, I’ve got horses now I’ve got some horses. I suppose we could ask on the way out if you’ll know. Did your father have a, you know, they have a niece new one? He knows. That’s a good question. I should go ask him. Okay. He’s early. Yeah, the chamber. Hey, are you awake? Last time you hear the iron handle, kind of like you see a half asleep, a half elf. Women come to the door. Hello. Hello is the gentleman in here? He’s in this, you hear a voice go. Just leave. It’s go, go. There wasn’t just a rollover or any kind of blocks out through the chamber. You can see one of the other, uh, guardians, the area kind of like guides her upstairs to leave and this and the doors. A jar he’s lucking. See as not that. The great, well you don’t know her. What can I do for you? Do you have any horses? I think this is for your journey. Um, I don’t own horses. I keep debts and there is a livery that, um, let me write something for you. He throws his robot and heads over to this little kind of like in table desk. He has in a corner and pulls it a sheet of paper and music it down, folds it, uh, goes in, takes one of the small candles off the side and it’s a wax seal and kind of presses it in. [inaudible] hands it to you. Um, for this, she’s off doing that. Okay. Ransack the room. I’m going to get out to my special paints. [inaudible] and I’m going to paint a Ruby about this big, no, it’s not, it doesn’t turn into a real Ruby, but it’ll be like a glass when Ruby. Okay. When it’s done, it’ll look like a Ruby and then want to place it right next to his bed so he sees it when it wakes up in the morning and when it goes to sleep. Okay. Um, [inaudible] double check for him. Yeah. This would be you. Just not, I’m so into this right now. [inaudible] Ooh. Or 22. Okay. Uh, he seems engrossed in his letter and does not notice you quickly. Definitely artistically create this Ruby and place it. By the time he finishes the envelope, turns around, you’re already right back where you started and it goes right into your grasp. It looks for a key for a stables. A keeper is the, a proprietor just to hand him the letter and tell him how many horses you need. You should take care of it. This isn’t the South of the South of the city. This is the stables in the South of the city. This would be on the Western side. So we would not be keeping up the Southern lines. No. Oh wow. Boy. Nope. Thank you for letting us stay here last night. Yes. Happy to provide winning need. Thank you for um, you know, being nice to me and being nice to my friends and stuff and it’s really good to see you again and I hug him and give him a kiss on the cheek. It’s good to see you as what tester call mom whenever, you know, just to just remember she’s, you know, for stair. She’s really pretty and she’s really great and talented. Okay. Bye. Door closes to little Ruby. No, I should’ve looked a little Sapphire next. Alright. We got all our lollies. We’ve maybe have horses. We’re going the keeper, staples, stables and they owe uh, that a, that or something in the mail. Give us some horses or something. Hooking us up. Free lodging, free food. Free booze. Free horses. Yeah, I mean, he loves the shit out of it. We have to let go and any rough [inaudible] yeah, of course. Like rough. Anyone up? We have to be like intimidating. I just have to give them this piece of paper. Maybe it says somebody is going to kill them if they don’t want to give them what we need. Alright now let’s follow. Good. You don’t want to read it. Well know it. It’s sealed. I can see works in it. Is there a way on it? Yes. For mail fraud over here she could probably do it. The sealant spoilers. It says give these people some horses. Alright, let’s go get the fucking horses. People leave their bodies in a dead show. What’s the stamp? Uh, the stamp is just a simple, like it’s, it’s just a simple G but it’s a very meticulously like carved G to almost look like a, for lack of a better term, a detailed intricate lock. There’s not like a lot of filigree around it, but it has like a rope. That’s cool. Yes. Background God. Goddamn horses like kinda I wanna I want lift it and I want to peel it and I want to start like kind of seeing how hard it might be to separate the wax with like with a knife. I mean it’s going to be hard, but it’s probably doable. I hold it up to the light. Can I see through it? Can I read it a little bit? This is act to make your perception show. Oh, I was almost guns. Eight eight. Mm. Unfortunately it’s very, very solid material. It’s all right Bo. We’ll find out soon enough. We can just get you there. When they’re reading it. We make our way to the Kiefer stables. All right. Heading westward throughs a dash. You make your way to the West asking a few questions. Keeping an eye out. You hadn’t quite, yes, you hadn’t quite spent a lot of time on this far end of the city necessarily. So it takes a little bit to kind of find out where the key for staples are. But upon arriving there, they’re not small. They’re not big, they’re just a standard, medium-size Liberty. Um, there are two individuals that are in the process of, uh, providing feed for the, uh, she’s, they have mostly horses. There are a couple of, of beasts of burden there as well. Looks like they also sell those types of creatures to kind of big ox looking beasts. Um, but you enter the front and there is one man you see probably in his late fifties, early sixties or so, extremely like curly poof red hair around the back and the sides of a bald head. Um, kind of five o’clock shadow all across his chin with a bit of a double chin. Um, just in the process of organizing stuff for the day and putting tools in the walls and, and setting things up this early in the morning and as soon as you walk in and turns around, Oh ha at all. It’s um, [inaudible] the show what open? Um, [inaudible] out appeals. It’s all right. I know it’s early edge you’ve got here in time, but can I do for you? Can you feel, you guys, I’ve got to note for you, Keith, thank you so much. As ominous as it seems or maybe it is. It is. All right. [inaudible] excuse me a moment. And he walks over to the side of a desk and kind of pulls up a little, you know, knife and you can see and he’s kind of, his movements are a bit erratic and quick and he kind of opens it. What do you need? Wow. Oh God. I make a roughly. We need some. Oh, Kayla, do you want to take care of this? This is your father’s. We need some horses for all of us. Yeah. One each. Well, I don’t want each take your pick seven hosts yours. Uh, you know, if things go well with, so I’m sure someone else drive, only going to need the horses for this one leg of the journey. I’m sure we can. How do we get them back to you when we’re done with them? They are yours to keep. Thank you, Kiefer. [inaudible] they would be able to have them prepared for you. Just, just tell them which ones you want and we’ll have them outfitted for the saddles and uh, feed. Uh, it’s a, I will provide, he’s, he’s, he’s, he’s basically saying like provide feeds and everything we required or vote you out, whatever you need, we’ll get you outside that. Of course sometimes it is just that easy. I go up to him, I’ll give you 50 goals for that letter. He says what’s grilled? Never see it again. How much would the horses have cost? What’s critical for the horses? A little brothers. Okay. Look at the letter. Wow. Um, I’ll wait till we leave. Okay. I don’t want to embarrass somewhere in tactful woman. How about a a, say 18 or so horses that are currently kept here. Um, there, some of them are healthier and uh, some are older, some younger. There are a number to pick from that all function and work well. You kind of find the ones that fit your personalities and have outfitted a week’s worth of feed is provided within saddlebags and other elements there. Uh, weighing them for a longer journey. Uncertain of how long you’ll be going. You’re kind of given the full, the full package. My horse keeps chasing Ford’s horse. It’s a joke that no one caddies Devon. So you have your horses. Do you have a material? The day is still young. No problems. No questions. You are free to go and make your way right. Oh really? Oh really? Wow. Yeah, you’re outside. You’re on horseback. You’re kind of making your way towards the outer perimeter of the city walls. Cool. I cloud the zeal and I try really hard to take out a little little. It’s super easy. It’s already open. Is the seal broken? Did he crack it? He, he read the letter so he had to open it? Yes. The, the wax is broken whenever. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Well what’s on the letter? Uh, all it says is, Oh, come on says is give them many gifts. Whatever they ask gentlemen, there it is unmasked as he said though. Got his handwriting though. That’s good. We can, maybe you could learn it. Forge something. Send a letter to my mom saying, Oh my gosh, I miss you so much. You couldn’t parent chat them. Oh, I was worried that we were going to get better. We got the parents meet me here and I because I still love you and then you send a letter to him. As you probably know your mom’s handwriting. I want to meet you at this place at this time and we’ll be waiting in the bushes can watch them play. The Ruby will get a pair of trap. Your parents. It’s going to be so great. You guys travel a con, you’ll have the travel are there to guide you. Go both. That’s cool. That’s true. I wonder if he would help me. This isn’t the whole pursuit. I bet he would. This seems like exactly what he does. He plays pranks and tricks on people for a greater good. This is a trick that is for the group. I feel like we need to do this. Is this one of those ones that we can intervene on and we just let it go? I’m not really sure at this point. Well or we go and wipe your foot outside. Fuck mile. Josh starts. Did we get one per mighty nine are you riding a horse for the first time ever solo? I think so, yeah. Unless he goes poorly. I’d like to go hence a pony because this is headed for your first time handling a horse. Make an animal handling check for me. That’s a two plus one. I will say your pace is slightly lessened for the first hour or so that you’re trying to get Knott’s horse to do anything. Correct. Yeah. That’s why it’s just takes off on a Gallup imitating life. Um, but nevertheless, eventually writing yourselves and finding the path you continue westward. Um, eventually to the, I believe it’s the Amber crossroads and then continuing westward towards the trust can veil on the Western side of the marrow Valley. Um, at fast pace on horseback, um, it’s 36 miles a day. I’ll say it’ll take you about two and a half, three days. Uh, you can try and push your horses further if you want, but you risk exhaustion both for yourselves in the horses. Let’s do it. No, no, we’re not. We’re not dying for time. Okay. Um, first day travelers were literally relatively uneventful. This side of the veil or the side of, of the empire is not, um, extremely eventful, especially in the open fields comparison to some of the places you’ve been, especially after going to shore, Haas and traveling that dangerous landscape, the return to the marrow Valley in these kind of open roads in green rolling grass and you know, mild Hills in the distance with the framing of the, the Valley mountains on each side. It’s, it’s almost comfortable in picturesque to be in a place where you’re, you know, not completely left in the unknown of what’s trying to Hunter eat you. Um, as the night grows, uh, darker around the map. One more time. You have the keeping my eyes open for anything unusual, the round as well. Correct. So I’d say you, yeah. So, uh, continue westward. Are you heading along the Braum kin byway, pumpkin my way? Or are you just cutting right across the Valley? Like a cast to my six level spell, which is what I find the path that’s a, that’s a straight line, right? I don’t know, it finds the shortest route, but that might take us, you know, the worst phone ever, by the way. It’s a pretty ways basically Weiss finds the shortest, most direct or physical route to a specific location. Jesus from, do you want to cast it? I mean, should they cast it? How, you know what this is? This is a spell we’re never going to cast. We might as well be situational. Yeah. Super useful in the very rare circumstances where it is useful. Otherwise it’s kind of, yeah. Let’s see what happened. Well, let’s cast that tells them it’s either this or an amaze in the abyss. Let’s go for it. I should we go. Oh true. Yeah. All right. So as you kind of shrug as part of casting the spell, it’s part of the, a part of the somatic components of it. It’s, um, you, you focus and the wind blows by, you can see kind of the waves of grass and grain across the field shift with it. And as it does, you see a portion of the grass seems to almost grow brighter and taller than the rest rapidly. And it continues in a direct line, in a direction slightly North of where you are already heading. But that direction you can see kind of caring that way. Let’s go. All right. Um, it is getting dark. If you guys want to set camp or push through, um, you know, you’re not diverging from the bite way to do this. So I want you to speak. You just began it, so follow it a little longer. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It is for a day, but they have to concentrate on it. Do I have this, can I sleep when I concentrate? Generally? No. I should have cast this in the morning. All right. We’ll get a few hours out of it. Yeah. Followed a bit. Okay. When we find a place to, it looks nice for setting up camp. Okay. Um, so is it kind of pull off into this space here? There’s, you know, patches of trees and little kind of, uh, elements of scattered Woodland. You wait as the last bit of the sunlight begins to escape from the sky and the golds and reds of sunset begin to vanish into the purples and blues of night. Um, you begin to find a place that of camp and you see what looks be a distant fire. Maybe about a half mile or so away from you. What kind of fire? Big fire or like campfire, like a standard campfire. So can you see any figures, any shapes this distance? No. Closer. We on the flight lands or is it sort of a descent down to that far right here. There’s like Hills to the North and South sides of it. Right now it’s kind of in the middle of a, like a small Valley between this hilly portion that’s go all of us. No, just make camp. I mean they stay over there. Will you stay over here? Not cause jokes it out for sure. Let’s go. I was going to say where he, if we can make camp close enough. Yeah. But everything we could check it out. Yeah. Sleep near the unknown quantity. Yeah. Well we can, we don’t even have to, yeah, we have a hut. We can just be wherever they don’t fuck. They can fuck off. Yeah, but why? Okay. I am a team player. Is this where we want to be? How is this? It’s fine. It’s fine. Alright. I’m definitely a muddled, Caleb starts to do what he needs to do to put the dome up and it’ll be the same color. Green as the grass that is growing all around. All righty. You guys been lit for the night? You feel safe within the dome and keep watching if you’d like or you can all just take a night’s rest lasts for eight hours. So I want to go check out the campfire or no, I want to go check out me. I feel like we all want to check out the camp. I think it only matters what you want to do in this situation. Uh, yeah. I’ll go check it out. Well, all right then. Do you want me to come close course? Okay. I’ll, I’ll follow. But at the distance and when I remove the rocks from the dome. Good idea. Yeah. Sit outside the dome until you guys come back, just so that there’s somebody who can hear it. If you signal for help. Um, and while they were away, Caleb will, uh, also, um, turn from into air Raven. Okay, let’s go and Mark off the [inaudible]. Um, uh, as we get close, I’m going to cast, uh, enhance ability. I’m not, um, I’m going to cast cats, grace so that you have better, you have advantage on dexterity checks. Okay. I don’t know. Sam’s never seen one. Um, as we get closer, all the cast, well, why don’t we get close enough? I’ll trust and visibility on my side. Okay. I will go ahead and roll a stealth check as you approach. Oh, you already get advantage already. A 28, 28, you, you feel fairly confident that no one seen you get within a safe distance of the campfire going, visible and creepy ever closer looking. Okay. As you’re looking, you can see, uh, kind of the source of the fire appears like there’s a few, uh, bundles kind of around it and there’s a few figures sitting in the bundles kind of looking into the fire. You can see there is between like kinda the Hilliker pace here. There’s a little gap and uh, there’s some, it looks like a carcass has been left kind of in the outskirts, kinda between, between you and the campfire a little bit. South ward, I guess I’m looking at it’s just a dead thing. Correct. It’s a ways away. Um, but there is towards me or towards you. I need to go look at that carcass. Okay. Uh, as you kind of get closer to the car case, you can see it, it looks to be a like a hunts. I like it. You can see there are arrows in it and elements of it have been butchered and left open. Uh, only a little bit of meat has been cut off and the rest of it just kind of been left there. But what do I recognize the animal? Uh, you have to get closer to probably take a look. I’ll get closer. Okay. Um, you kind of get right up next to the, uh, the carcass and look at it and right as you, do you hear this? Oh shit. Go ahead and make a dexterity saving. Throw for me. Nope. That’s it. Saving decks to save 12, 12. You’re going to 12 on your deck. Save three. Oh no, no, no. He’s doing, and you see suddenly from just over the Hill, there was a, uh, a thin, tall tree that had been kind of rationed it down and held. Go, go loony upward and suddenly your, your ankle pulls out from under you and you get to the air for a second and kind of run down. It can kind of hang for a second. You still invisible though. You are okay. But they know that something’s there. He walks suddenly the fingers kind of all stand up, look over in the direction of the tree. One of them goes ahead and gets and grabs a bow. I’m kind of knickknacks and arrows. They’re sneaking as close as I can to them and following up. That’s why I was able to see the tree go. All right. Uh, okay. Um, uh, I guess if they haven’t seen me, let’s see what, we’ll lose my visibility. Attacking anything, right. Or fuck, attacking casting spells, testings attacking, but using a weapon to like cut a rope. Is that a, that was breaking, no. Okay. Okay. With me as I’m going. Okay. I’ll get out of my shortsword or my dagger and I’ll start cutting the rope a bit. Okay. Easy enough to cut it in. Your foot comes loose. It’s, it’s not a very intricate, uh, you know, not nor is it a head, it’s a thick piece of rope, but you were, this blade is easy enough to cut through 23. You go ahead and approach and you can see the figures kind of rushing towards the tree. They do. Do you get the sense that with the moment they do not notice you because they are focused more on what has just transpired to the South of their camp. Okay. How high off am I? A dangling? No, I’d say about 10 feet up. Oh God, I don’t know what to do. I’m going to wait until they get, actually you’d be about 15, because your, your, your weight is so minimal compared to what this chap was designed for her around me at this point. Are they, uh, they’re, they’re approaching and looking up now and they’re like, one of you can see like the back of their head. Well, actually you have dark vision, right? There’s a Galvin so you can, you can see an element of them. Uh, they’re, they appear to be human, um, simple other armor like caps on some hunting gear and weapons. Um, and they kind of look up at the, at the road. Oh shit. It broke. I fucked it. A go. Shit. I’ll just wait a bit, see if they run off. Okay. What are you, well, I’m waiting to see if they like attack it. Not or anything. They don’t, they kind of scatter a bit around the space and begin kind of looking in the area. One of them goes over, back to the carcass and kind of looks around it. Are you doing anything though? Uh, I’m still just waiting. They’re still around the vicinity, right? Like they’re starting to scatter a bit and kind of scan and from this position you can kind of see there are a few different corpuses of other creatures that have been hunted and you can see they’ve cooked up elements of some of them and they’ve been kind of eating them at the, at the, the fire in the center. Um, and elements that have been left out. And you can see now from this perspective actually make a perception check for me. It’s just a hunting party for sure. It does 18 plus one 19, 19. You can see near some of these other corpses. There are a few other contraptions, uh, similar to this. Uh, sometimes one of them is a little more of like a, a, a net type thing. But these are very, very basic hunting traps that have been set up with charms. I shouldn’t kill them all. All right. I will as definitely as possible, uh, drop from my location. Okay. And try to land without making too much noise. I make self check within advantage national 20, you don’t even take any fall damage is a little desk goes super quiet, no one notices. You can see them kind of looking around and it looks a little jittery and nervous as whatever it was, broke their trap and they see nothing moving around and they’re kind of in a really unfortunate space right now of trying to figure out what happens. Well, pupil, I feel I can pause as far as I know, not as still up in the tree. [inaudible] should I Rob them first all I’m gonna try to slip between them and, and keep, keep heading out. Keep head back to our camp. Okay. Eight and I notice you in the middle of the night with your invisible self who’s also super stealthy. Um, they are there, you know, you don’t really take a moment to, to see things other than just like darting through the gap of where they are. Isn’t theory. There’s a tiny piece of rope that’s just scattering through the, through the, uh, is the ropes visible that still around his ankle. [inaudible] been cut like, you know, in a way where it, it’s really not helping a tiny little rope, which is yeah. Um, I’m gonna wait until they get far enough away from the tree and then I’m going to go try to get not out of the tree. Okay. Oh God. Okay. Uh, they eventually kind of be in a circle around the Northern side doing their, their perimeter and uh, you see a moment where can screw through. Go up to the trap. You rush up and look up in the tree and the rope is just dangling loose. Not I’ve left that area. Nope. I’m going to cast sending jester maca, sending [inaudible] [inaudible] I stopped. [inaudible] no, no, none of the tree. You can respond. I’m still talking. Wait till I finish and then you can respond. Just let me know where it’s way over the word. I’m not in the tree. I’ve gone, Oh shit. Uh, where are you visible? No, but not like back at camp. Now, this is my points in a direction where I think she might be, I cast a message. Can you hear me? Just to, where are you? This point? You’re just out of the 500 range, but we’ll check it out. It was shorter than that, so yeah, nothing. Go back. Shit. I’ll run. I’ll run back to camp. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hi. Not bad at all. They’re fine. Nope. Okay. It’s fine. It’s fine. Wait, no, it’s fine. It’s fine. She’s, I’ll be right back if I start stealthily making my way back to, okay. Okay. Both of you make perception checks. Oh, [inaudible] you see one of them goes, Oh, I heard something. I peeked my head into the bubble. Yeah. Yeah. Probably just past each other. Okay. Okay. Now have bone arrows knock and I’m front of the dome. The third one has like two short swords at the ready and you can see now they’re both early. They were a little spooky. Now they’re like, fuck, something’s here. So wait, you were running back to their camp now and making another stop check. Oh, okay. I’m just scanning around their camp looking for her. Have they captured her and she in a trap. I started looking at all the carcasses there. I assume there’s traps near the, yeah, you don’t see any of the trap set off, but you see them like ready to go for a fight. Shit. Shit. Um, okay, I’ll, I’ll go halfway back towards our camp. Okay. Both of you guys mix. It’s this perception 13, 15, you keep learning back to their camp and you stop halfway. You don’t see each other because you’re both being stealthy. Each other. Say a silent prayer. Load up my crossbow with a flair bolt and shoot it straight out. Okay. Gesture as you’re running, like all of a sudden this bright light kind of fills up the space around you and you look up at this flare bowl kind of leaving this trail of burning flame. Gotcha. Repairing persons. You see three figures now rushing in your direction and you as you’re preparing, you kind of glance over and hear, uh, 18 hit. You ask me that. There goes under these past, this way. Shit go. How far away are they? This point about 70 feet. I’m going to add another arrow comes out. You actually did two arrows. I’m not, you know, uh, that’s a 22 and a 19. Okay. She’s getting pelted. Four points of piercing damage and you take three points of piercing damage. I did it close. None of the two of them are, they’re just loading arrows and firing. You guys can hear this flare go up in the sky and started hearing yelling in the distance. I’m walking that direction. There are three of them. Okay. A 19 on the first one. Natural one on the second. Wow. There are actually two of them will play well and a 17 on the third one. Okay. So two of them save one of them dozens. So, um, one of them who, uh, the one who has both of the, of the swords at the sides kinda like stops. He goes, Oh, don’t worry about it. The other one’s like, Oh fuck you talking about you guys are approaching now walking towards, I’m walking towards I, yeah, I walk out in the dome, just goes, yes. I’ve lit up my staff and I’m walking towards this. Have a drink and watch from the Hill. Sure. All right. All right. All right. There’s the two that aren’t trying to kind of rush up scene. She need to put your hands there and they have their arrows knocking and just kind of hut the to note that. Yeah. Okay. Oh, you’re asking them to look of each other. Um, uh, you guys currently have the, the flare is gone, so there’s no real light source. They don’t have as good at eyes as you. So, uh, one of them goes in like the one who’s twos charmed in the back goes, hold on, hold on. It’s lights a torch and kind of approaches. Don’t worry. The friends and the two kind of see as they approach, they look at you and they go, fuck. They look at each other and they both have to drop their weapons and go, we didn’t know. We’re so sorry. We’re so sorry. We’re just, I shoot one in the leg so hard down there, but I think this is more a great show. I don’t get sneak attack. Eight points of damage. Okay. Which one do you shoot? The one who’s holding the torch or the two that have the, the Bose. Bose. The Boga. Okay. Oh shit. We need to know. We know David, which is hunting. They weren’t just hunting, not, yeah, but their asshole stealing in general can read minds. Read their mind zone of truth. Oh, that’s, I don’t have it prepared, but I’m going to say I’m this on the truth on them, but I’m not actually, Oh, Oh 19 plus 19 plus by four 24 can tell the truth. She’s, but she can tell if you’re telling the truth, I’ll get it. That’s fine. Have you been stealing? No. Don’t know. And that’s what they’re telling this truth. I haven’t been like Robin, what does that mean? What does that mean? What does that mean? Maybe we’re not doing, we’re not robbing people on the road anymore. Couldn’t afford ever fins. We took a couple of things and they weren’t looking. It wasn’t a big thing. As long as you’re not like attacking people where I was stealing things, right. It’s still been poached and stuff. I’m proud of you for making or dressing. We were just checking up on you to make sure that you’re on the straight and narrow. The God torch goes. I believe him. Giant red, eight lumber, snow pass. They just run screaming into the night and the ape starts picking through their camp and just looking through shit. Well, you know what I’m really proud of them have made a change. They’ve turned over a new leaf. They look healthier than clothes. They looked. Yeah, they looked like they were eating good. No, I assumed I’d have to hear somebody I heard terrible screaming and nah, we got it handled. Sprinkle. You’ve got, you’ve got a little, you’ve got a little arrow. Oh yeah. They hit me a couple times sticking out on my can. I couldn’t be worse. Yes you can. Okay. Feces. Uh, this would be an investigation check that we using the right. That’s a nine. Nine. All right. There the carcasses and what you kind of like instinctually grab one and kind of like, um, there’s a collection of pelts actually. Um, and you can see the remnants of kind of like, uh, other hunting jobs they’re bringing with them, whether you get the sentence based on what they had, they were in the process of heading back into some talent to sell there were capable of, puts a bunch of pellets on his head like a hat and then just lumbers back to their camps. Okay. We’re back. How does that go? It was fine. Oh my gosh. We ran into some old friends who were super fun to fuse the situation pretty well. It was great. We knew you had it so late into the night, thought about intervening and then we realized we didn’t want to, do you remember the Valley bandits? We do. We met them again. Caleb was in April. We came from what’s on his head. Spewn drapes it all the way over four and she can’t even see his head anymore. Just a big bear. Palpates mostly tanned, stole a little damp place, a very warm and disgusting. You know, every time we see them, they’re doing a little better. Maybe next time we see them there’ll be like running a business or, well, we saw three so it could have been more on you let them go. You didn’t like injure them or kill? Well, not sort of hurt one of them. I shot one with her. I did see them running away from Caleb. Well, that’s good. I’m glad you probably stopped him from feeling right. They were probably doing something illegal. They said they actually freely admitted to have done some bad things. Right. But no more than we do bad things, you know? Yes. They were just, this was an honest thing that they were doing here tonight that we scared them away from doing. Yeah. And stole their pills that they were scared straight program. You know, we just keep scaring them and eventually they’ll go straight. Okay. I don’t think I read records about that and never working that. We’ll try. Yes. Yes. Feel free Saturday. All right. Caleb starts recreating the hut. Fair enough. Money. This evening’s rest is far more uneventful as the campfire, the distance slowly Peter’s too dark, he probably wouldn’t have wandered in here, you know, I’m sure. Tried to see what was going on. They would never have noticed us. They’re not that talented. Well, I mean, in case they does notice this, you certainly took care of the problem, you know, well done. We do have, you know, lots of horses sitting right outside of our bubble, so they’re good. We’ll take like, there was a lesson here and I’m pretty sure we haven’t learned it. I had to protect toilet junior crap or junior. That’s right. John, John WEC, no old good old WC and J R tacos. Those the horses names I didn’t know. Um, evening is sled eventful. Uh, rest comes easy. The next morning, bright and early, the warmth of the sun would hit you if you weren’t inside the dome when it begins to grow warm. But however, the Domo does eventually fade and you all come, uh, to have your morning meal before stepping on your horses and continuing again. Are you casting? Find the path again. Oh, let it, the stakes levels blow with you guys think. Yeah. Do it. Right, right. Where’s it leading into now to um, the East Shaun eyes. Okay. Nope. We’re going straight to her. We’re not going to go. Oh, who’s dad? Camada. Oh I just figured if we could go straight through her [inaudible] where she is. We’re going, we’re going to go. We’ll probably take you. Oh I thought it had to be a place that you know, no, it says that you’re familiar with, you don’t know what she lived right at all. She’s cried on it so she would know the location I’m familiar with, with the place. Oh sure. Cutting us. Great. I thought we were going to go, I thought we were going there just to get a little more data on. We should probably do that first up to you. Yeah. If we need further confirmation confirmation, it’s not necessarily that we need confirmation on flight to know we’re going to make a choice for house cause we are assuming that that woman is the same. Same. We’re, we’re, we’re pretty sure. But I would also like to know what kind of, what we’re really dealing with, which we don’t really know. Yeah. Let’s go to meet some first thing. We don’t need to find a path where that, you know where we’re going. Yeah. More or less, we are out in the middle of nowhere. Right North. So where do we go with that? Is not [inaudible] you’ve made this journey in a brutal time is near you, so you know how to guide them to [inaudible] four or five. It’s all Tomasa one-on-one. We’d get it. You have a baby. Yeah. Yeah. Love it. A little bit. Snuck our second day of travel. Well on the path guided by low regard. Also an eventful. Um, you do see occasionally some core years on horseback riding quickly like across the, the Southern road, most of the travel upon the bronc and byway. But you guys have kind of, uh, taken the path separately that has to the Brompton Hills and Kamora directly. Uh, based on the direction of the spell took you to cut off a little bit of time. You could take the road road is generally considered safer for people that can’t defend themselves. Um, but you guys generally don’t have to worry too much about that. So, uh, cutting the corners on this, you come to the second night’s rest, you’ve set up a camp, um, and the evening comes to claim you for at night of sleep in the middle of the night. Caleb, uh, is not sleeping too well and looks over at the Yasha. I don’t like sleeping. You don’t sleep easy. I seem to be not very good at it lately. Some nights have been easier, but uh, I sometimes don’t like to go to sleep and possibly dream, you know? No. You have not been yourself. Yeah, I guess so. Trying to figure out what that is right now. Things just feel a little weird. [inaudible] I’m getting through it. That’s fresh. Yeah. Mmm. I L I, I hope I’m not being too, uh, forward and asking you this, but um, how do you deal with it? I set that office, I guess from someone who knows. Yeah. I’ve only heard things about your past. [inaudible] we don’t have to talk about it. I just [inaudible] not, yeah, I don’t remember actually [inaudible] [inaudible] sometimes I feel like two people, I’m better with them. I don’t know if me’s, my fingers are old, so I guess I’m accustomed to it. I thought that we were similar when we first met. It’s not just, it’s not just a Oban do you have blood in your eye? Yeah, I’m sorry, where are you? Sorry. I see as the station in regret in you and then that is like a mirror. I know regret and I regret correct and unless my intuition is very off, even though a crack so it never goes away. Wait, no. It’s easier because people around you did it make you feel more like you? What feels a little bit like the forgiveness is almost harder to deal with. I feel like anger is an emotion that I know how to deal with because that’s where I live. But I feel like with everyone paying so nice and accepting, I don’t know how to handle it. I didn’t know and I’m not handling it well, but I’m trying. I’m Kayla, this is spinning a diamond over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over in his hand. I don’t think we can but, and we are never going to wash our hands. We can use them to leave something better in the world. [inaudible] maybe the curtain of arises from our eyes, but well, what else did we do? You either lose yourself to it. I forget. We you do your part pretty, he looks around at the mall pretty great. Does sound fun. You love her? Cool. I don’t need to tell you. Wow. Oh, I’m sorry. As someone who has lost someone that they loved very much, I know how important it is to say things before it is too late. Baby mom, Rachel to handle and just look away and Pat the top of her hand and then Corolla. Okay. Outside of the dome, just sort of say I’m sitting up and watching him. There’s a flash. Another one is the storm. Don’t come pretty close. My eyes and I tried to sleep. The morning eventually comes for you all as the spell fades and the morning sun does not pick through as the previous morning did. Instead, as the dome begins to fade, the wet rain begins to suddenly fill the space and you all rapidly kind of grab your things and start bundling it up quickly. Writing in this shit all fucking day. It’s gonna take me the rest of the day, right? For the most part, this is going to suck. Let’s go. Getting back on the horseback. Continuing following bow regards. Lead across the trust can veil ignoring the roads. Onward towards the Bronx in the Hills most of the day progresses. All of you keeping bundled with your cloaks and materials close to maintain heat, as much dryness as you can. Though elements of the rain seep into your boots, you can feel the moisture causing your skin to clam. Within looking up ahead, you can see the mountain range of, uh, this side of the scenario’s mountains beginning to grow larger and larger until you begin to see the greenish grassy Plains of the trust can avail, begin to give way to a different coloration. Uh, the grass is begin to become Dolar Brown and yellow in places. And as you reach the beginning of the Brompton can Hills themselves. You can see already not be on just like the Hills getting larger and oddly shaped, but the landscape go from patches of complete lack of vegetation where it’s just cracked ground and mud to areas where you can see all manner of strange colored, uh, kind of earth and mud and minerals beginning to emerge from what looked almost like small steam vents that rise from the ground as you begin to members. This is where you grew up. Shitty, right? It doesn’t look like far better. Exactly. Heading towards the outskirts of Kamora as you crest one of the Hills begin to see, uh, in the later hours of the day. Not quite nearing sunrise yet, but dark enough with the clouds and rain overhead that you can see the lights of all the interior lit homes of the village just begin to make their way to your eyes on the horizon. Um, all around you. The smell changes to as opposed to what earth and grass you can smell. Uh, strange minerals, some smells sweet and have almost a like a Jasmine type pleasant smell to it. And then waves of uh, heavy sulfur and other like deep earth minerals emerging from the what you can now see around you. Pockets of very heavy geothermal activity that be brewing through the nearby landscape. Um, you can see dozens and dozens of some of these vents. Just this gentle kind of white mist. And every now and then you’ll see all the small little kind of guys who emerge from spots. Oh, it was [inaudible] volcano around there. I think one that used to be active a long time ago in the mountains when this whole landscape is just filled with geo activity and steam vents. Don’t stick your hands into any of the water will melt. It will slough right off the bones. Have you seen it happen? No. Just had stories. That sounds good. Well have you seen it happen? He lived around here. He used to like throw in like snails and shit in there and see what would happen. I was fun. Yeah. Yeah, we were kids. Um, yeah. Let’s keep going though. How does Bo seem compared to how she’s, you know, normally totally good. Doing great. Awesome. Yeah. Blue skies. How do you seem both anxious? Yeah, I’m barricaded behind emotional walls and she’s been in awhile. Yeah, definitely. If anything, it’s shades of the first time time you guys met coming through. I’m heading towards the outskirts of the city. As you approached the actual town proper, there are rod iron Gates and small stone walls about waist to chest high in places. The ground itself gives way to mud a combination of the recent weather and just probably the strange kind of ashen ground that makes up a lot of the town here, vineyards, you know, some, you know that and I’ve heard that fine wines come from here. This is not like a landscape that would be kind to any sort of standard vineyard. Um, at the front of the city. There are a few of the towns guard posted that, you know, just kinda keep an eye as you approach, kind of careful and uninteresting, but you know, keeping through their space. Just kind of looking over each of you intently as you go. Um, whether today rainy, Oh, is still rainy. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. This is not so, um, yeah, the thunder and lightning that rolled to the night seems to have faded through the day, but it is still raining pretty hard. Um, heading inward, you can see this is a town built largely of pale rock and dulled petrified wood, which you know is a lot of the forests in the mountains surrounding here. Some of it’s very lush from how rich, how mineral rich a lot of the earth is and other areas are just died off since whatever, whatever altered this mountain range happened, the lush forest that once carried it all catches up. I’m just withered up and that becomes very cheap wood to build with. Um, so it’s funny for as much as you hear about wealth and, and kind of the, the trust can avail is known to be a rich area. DIA stock in particular to the South, um, is telling the elements that you’re seeing is upon arriving some, a little more ramshackle and in some ways reminded you of shady Creek run though not as seedy necessarily, but definitely built for function over aesthetics. A lot of the people you can see bringing their, uh, workloads through the streets themselves, hoods and cloaks up looking miserable in the weather, shouting knew each other and pulling materials through and you can see carts exiting past you heading towards the Southern side of the city as they leave. Um, a number of them carrying what looked to be large, uh, barrels. Um, some of these exports in their way out and well armed guards watching the mistake. Go see how miserable everyone looks. They’re probably drunk. It’s every, everyone’s drunk on wine, right? It’s this wide place. It just produces you, your Homeland. It’s, you said it was dying right then the nature was dying. Is it like this, is this natural? No, no. Cause th there, there are, this is different, but it’s still very alive. She’s a different kind of life. This is not the same. The farm lands here passed from hand to hand and farmer to farmer, they’d come selling and off trying to get shit to grow. And of course I couldn’t get anything to grow until my dad and maybe a couple of farmers came in, threw down some grapes and it turns out that the mineral rich soil and the shitty weather from all the ocean mist makes for some great fucking grapes, grapes, a lot of grapes. So many, so many fucking grapes. Right. All that stuff and some crazy old woman. Yeah. Passing through. You can see what you know is the minefields, which are an element of kind of a lower end residential town though. Not, it’s not like a, a slum per se, but it’s just a, uh, you know, kind of the, the, the standard workers homesteads here, um, the streets themselves, just Brown and mucky, especially with all the water that started to flood in some places. You can see some folks are in the process of currently taking buckets and making sure that certain areas don’t get too soggy. Um, you can see situated greenhouses that are arranged in places that are enclosed entirely where it seems some semblance of green is being maintained from the interior. Uh, you know, these, um, people have brought soil from other locations and have begun to try and find what other types of vegetation, uh, do take to the landscape here and some do, um, not as profitable as you know, wine is. And even then it’s very selective which patches Atlantic, um, making your wife who the mud fields, you eventually head towards what is called the, uh, the rainbow vineyards, which is along the base of the mountains here that lead into the serious range. Um, there are these winding cliffs and you can see where they’ve carved walkways that go up to the side and there are buildings kind of held in there, heavy ropes dangling what looks to be a bird. Materials and goods are kind of brought down to a lower elevation or carried up on high as well as donkeys and horses carrying things up. These pads if need be. You can see clusters and clusters of oddly colored, uh, grapevines all just kind of set upon the entire mountain side here. And when I see mountains side, it visually is a mountain side, but nothing like what you’ve seen. There are layers and layers of the colors transition brightly from like adult to a bright yellow to almost like a dripping orange and some locales. There’s areas where you can see pools of hot hot water that are emerging in these kind of puddles of, of, of, of mud where it’s kind of boiling and bubbling. You can see the coloration turning blue at the edges almost. And around that edge you can see cultivating additional grapevines and other strange odd plants that are starting to take it in. They’re all very carefully under watch, very carefully guarded and well-mannered. And you get the sense that there’s probably a lot of the, at least a, a surprising section of this town makes its living tending to vineyards here, has living traveling through here, pumpkin. The Raven goes and lands on Beauregard shoulder and not sharp or painful or hard at all. But just everyone, someone gets a little kill doesn’t fit all. It’s just baseball. Okay, Frumkin, stop, stop. [inaudible]. You can feel the muscles of your back and shoulders and neck tightening, nodding in a way that you can remember experiencing the heat that’s building along the back of your neck in your spine is tremendous. Matching almost what you imagine the temperature of these steam pits that are just slowly releasing the cold rain hitting and the hot steam being released from it for a moment. You feel almost like you’re matching that temperature as you guys crest up on one side of the rainbow vineyard section and you can see the three-story, a state of the line, that family look from the inside. Whatever happens, he was an asshole for being mean to you. You’re a wonderful person. You are a wonderful person. You’re a wonderful person. He was lucky to have you for our daughter. Hopefully he will realize that no, if he doesn’t remember what he told me. Fuck him. You have a, I mean we love you so much. Okay, thanks Jess. Give her a hug. They add an arch. It’s even more pretentious now. Okay, let’s go knock or call or there is a heavy gate on the outside. Uh, where the arch in the front gate is. It’s replaced the familiar entrance to the house. Um, there’s a little courtyard where you can see there have been some trees and bushes that are tended to there. Um, the soil within the courtyard is different from the soil surrounding. Um, though you can see even what’s been placed supposedly to try and keep the transplanted greenery intact. It’s still Browning and graying a failed experiment on making a, a nice grounds around there. Any, um, flowers, no, this is a flowerless place that was going to pick all of them. We’re approaching, is there anyone on the roof guarding the wall? Make a perception check. 10, 10. Uh, it’s hard to tell this distance and as the light gets darker it at this point you can, you can sense now from just like the slow shift and brightness that you’re probably about a half an hour from dusk. Um, so first name, but you, you wouldn’t know that there’s usually at any given point in time, like two folks patrolling the grounds just to ensure that nothing happens to the family or the business. Um, the gate is there, it’s locked, but you know one of many tricks to get by it. So you just kind of walk up to the lock will say one of the pin materials that you often use to keep your hair up. You just kind of like quickly and the watch. I have a lot of picking scab probably. Yeah. Just give it a condescending milk. There is a hitching post just outside, uh, or I had him say three hitching posts right there for travelers to can leave the horses there after you about regard if you want us to attack anybody at all. Just say Armadillo. Remember doula. Got it. Okay. Let’s go. Do you want those with you? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I rolled deep. That looks fucking awesome. It’s impossible in charge of us. You’re the leader. It’s fine. It’s fine. Okay, let’s go. Okay. As you guys all begin to walk along the central pathway where some of the first kind of cobblestones you’ve seen, um, you kind of glancing at four, can see on the second floor there is a railing and there is a cloak tour to figure with a crossbow, kinda just leaning on the edge on aimed at you, but just kind of watches you carefully and intentionally making his presence known as you approach in a way that guards to Oso so subtly when they’re hired, hands come into the familiar front door. You can see there’s a bit of a, uh, kind of a frosted glass window in the front that gives a little bit of light from the inside. Um, the heavy metal knocker so it’s resting familiar, it’s very close. It’s on the delay. Batteries, um, moment passes and then you hear the door opens and you see a woman standing there, um, probably early thirties. Um, hair just kind of tied back. Um, she’s wearing not upper-class clothing, more just like a, like a worker, a servant outfit. Uh, hello, can I help you? Do I know who she is? You do not recognize this one? No, my mom is way more garish and the way she dresses. Um, so lady or man of the house here tonight, um, may I ask you some Quiring but regardless of that, Oh, um, I’m afraid the master is, is uh, tending to the vineyards at the moment, so he’ll probably be back shortly for dinner. Um, but uh, miss miss lineups is in inside. Please, please, please, uh, enter and she opens the door. What does your dad recognize as my license? He probably will change your voice. Can you teach me? [inaudible] I’m just going to make [inaudible] don’t worry about it. [inaudible] do you mean steps aside and kind of like, you know, kind of just nods her head a little bit for like, I had no idea. I’m so sorry. Looking inside. Uh, it is warm. It’s inviting, especially in the cold rain, but that’s you step inside and kinda kick off your muddy boots or not depending on how you feel about it. Um, immediately here in this foyer area, you can see it has a beautiful rustic aesthetic. There are antlers on the wall. You can see it’s like a dark mahogany wood interior line with like a brighter would use to kind of set the walls apart. There is a, a a staircase that goes to a second landing that kind of wraps around the main for your area. And there is a uh, iron chandelier that sits in the middle, that is circular with a kind of magically held candles that’s going to keep a constant kind of nice glow there. Um, this is nice. Yeah, you can S the servant closes the door behind you and then rushes off. Just wait just a moment. Turns upstairs, Madame Madame, you can hear some like giggling upstairs. She goes and leaves the new another room. Here’s some of the fireplace to warm. The earth is burning. I mean it looks pretty awful here, right? No, your family is done. All right with themselves. How, how, how are your, how are you are, huh? And you all can turn a look and kind of partway down the stair landing you see a woman, you know, similar kind of, you know, darker olive skin. Um, hair put up into this, uh, very, very tight bun with a bit of ponytail, the kind of Dingles, uh, behind, uh, a really, really nice, really nice dress for just being casually at the house. Um, but comfortable, uh, of like a, uh, a deep green color. Um, you can see she is leaning in a very startled away. Just looking directly down it though. Hey mom, I’m S I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were coming. Uh, yeah, it’s kind of a trend that I have going on. Well, uh, and she kind of heads down the stairs at a brisk pace and, and approaches and kind of like steps up to you and then halts unsure kind of how to greet you, gives a somewhat warm, somewhat still to the hug and then kind of pulls back a bit. I’m sorry to barge in. I know. Um, you were wanting to kind of keep me distant from the family, but um, I need to talk to dad. It’s important and then we’ll be gone. And you don’t have to, you know, you can stay as long as you like. I, I who, who are your friends here and you hear a voice from shows go like Miami and you see from around the corner the uh, the servants trying to like catch up to them. But you see a, a young boy who in many ways looks like a young boy, ish Beauregard longer hair that’s kind of in this kind of wild curl. Looks like he just kinda got out of a showers and then it had his head briskly dried. He’s wearing these uh, kind of baggy pajamas that kind of drag just past the fingers and he kind of begins running down the stairs. Two, well two and a half. It started when I say like tumbling down the stairs, it’s restored. Um, yeah, it’s, it’s the servant trying to catch up with him and uh, they both kind of come down to join as uh, Clara still kind of isn’t breaking eye contact and just kind of reaches out and takes your hands. It’s good to see you. Would you like to stay for dinner? [inaudible] that’s most gracious of you. Um, we are the mighty nine. We are esteemed friends of your daughter. Well, Millie friends and voter, God, a friends of ours. So hi. Hi. How are you? Are I’m, I’m Clara [inaudible] Oh, that’s mother. But I assume you know that by now. Um, I, I’ll, I’ll ensure some, some places are set. Hey mom, remember that year that we had that light mudslide that ended up happening and like took out half of our stock and we only have like few bottles left from a year. Yeah. Let me go grab one of those. Of course. Been talking about Oleanna ally, you know, I’d love to. Yes, yes, yes, of course. Uh, Janine, could you get out right away and then [inaudible] anyway, uh, Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. I didn’t even Beauregard and she turns in, you know, kind of clutching the side, holding onto the edge with a big smile. Bright eyes. A little boy kind of looks up at all of you. You’re a junior. I’d like you to meet your older Beauregard. Beauregard this is a thorough jr. did I sister? Yes. It’s your sister. And he kind of walks up to you. Couch down, kind of puts his arms around you. Yes. That smell to home call the fucking kids in Comporta. It kind of like pulls back a little bit. He’s still kind of holding on a knee a little bit and then just kind of just looking at you and he’s just kind of taking it in. It’s Claire goes, Ugh. We were hoping you’d come by some time too to meet him. Do you know the timeline was always interesting to me. Do you know you were pregnant with him and you sent me away? The battle is lovely. Justin, would you help me over here for a moment? Not perhaps. If we could just, I leaned down to TJ. Hey, little man. Hey, what’s your favorite color? Okay. Any points at his mother’s dress green. Oh, I hear you. Might I like this time? Give him the Jade necklace. Put it around him. Yeah. Yup, yup. That’s been in some dank places. Little man. So I’ve really build up your immune system. Just looking at you slobber kind of coming off. It tastes like Indigo battle card. I think things are challenging all around. I didn’t, your father didn’t mean things to become the whole tense. Can you in a way, Oh, it was a hell of a goodbye. You know, not entirely sure why anyone would think that that was a good fucking idea to handle the situation with your daughter. That was clearly just wanting your fucking attention. I’m sorry. That doesn’t mean much. Yeah. Her father was in her lot of stress and [inaudible] things should have been handled differently. You’re right. You’re absolutely right. Fuck mom. See you’re just as passive as you were back in the day. She kept that bottle of wine. Janine’s new here. The footsteps we’ve coming from under the seller. [inaudible] here’s the hero. Thank you. Uh, yeah, it’s like a, it’s like one of our most expensive bottles of wine. So enjoying the front door opens and you can hear the rain from outside and you see, I figured, kind of stepped in with a heavy overcoat hat on. Kind of like step inside, kick off a bit, close the door, take the hat and the coat off, hang it on the side and turn. And then [inaudible] as your father looks you directly in the face and immediately just looks like he’s seen a ghost. Oh God. Aye. Mmm, I can see that. I was not expecting to see you today. Welcome, welcome. Um, for friends of yours, I assume. Ah, yeah. Mom, dad, this is a, this is the mighty nine. Thanks towards all of you. And then looks to Naga. Hi, how you are. Hello. Kind of looks. It looks to Clara. Don’t do that dad. Don’t [inaudible]. Okay. It looks back in and picks up TJ and kind of puts him in her arms. Oh, fucking embarrassing. Cute kid. Great. Tasty. By this point TJ is looking right at not after seeing those like, Oh right. I’m going to go put TJ, uh, to put them down. It takes off a little bit and uh, throw steps in a bit. Well, it’s a pleasure to have you all. I am glad you’ve all been traveling. I assume I’m just going to go start rifling around for some cups or something. I’ve been receiving updates about your, uh, your work with the cobalt soul. Apparently been doing quite some quite some fine work, I guess. I guess I should say expositor photo. God, that’s incredible. I mean still sending you those tuition of, huh? Well, it’s important for us to, you know, make sure we know how our border guards doing unparalleled. She is as she would be and say, check. I want to know if he seems like he’s genuinely proud of her or if go for it, man. Send check Jesse. A twin went, what does that 2323 wow. Whispers, whispers, whisper. This is intense family drama that you only get. It’s thanks to hero forge here at forge makers of minis and also supporters of intense family dramas. Travis is, both of his fingers are in his nose right now. Allergy. We all like winter and there’s no shower in our own way. Cocaine wears off. They need more now. They didn’t want to see her get hit, man. Found a couple of cops. Oh, this. I will try it. Oh yeah. Oh well. Hi. I’m sorry. I toast to expose it or Beauregard line it. Yeah, I know you well enough. Beauregard guard to assume you haven’t come for the sake of pleasantries. I just go up and stand next to Depot and put my hand on her back and I’m gonna whisper in her ear. Ah, yup. You know me dad won’t be here if I want something. Um, shit. Well, listen, that story that you love to tell at every family gathering and Rue bedtime and any chance you had that all the hag that you talked about, we need to find her. Is that story even Greil resists just meant to terrify me, uh, when he finishes his drink and sets it down. Of course it’s real low regard. Look, I know, you know, we’ve had our differences and I’ve, I’ve not, I’ve not been the pinnacle of a father in the same way that you’ve been. I’ve been the pinnacle of a daughter. Thanks that my responsibilities and the things that I’ve, maybe he’d been a bit harsh on. Look what you become. It just feels like a, we’re justification of your behaviors. I’d like to hope that, uh, what I became had nothing to fucking do with you, but maybe I’d be lying to myself. Yeah, I was difficult. I have my onus and everything that happened, but I thought dad was supposed to stay by their kid when they’re having a fucking hard time. [inaudible] let me see. I already fucking mentioned that life gets difficult and it’s hard. [inaudible] so you’re right. Maybe it’s easy to justify the easy way out. Just get rid of the problem. That’s not what this was about. Hey, we’re on a self destructive path. We didn’t know what to do. I’ve never been [inaudible] no one teaches you how to be a good father. I regret choices I’ve made and you don’t think I don’t hold myself responsible for. I thought I was doing what was best for you. Truly. You did. It’s probably the best thing you could have done for me. So thank you. Tell me the story again and then I’ll go. It’s true. I haven’t lied to you or made anything up. Why are you asking about this? She has information we need. [inaudible] you’re trying to F to actually go to her. We need her hold for, why are you afraid? Not afraid. I’m just curious. Um, we think she has something to do with why. Well, we needed to break a curse. That’s all. CUNY garlic just showed up. [inaudible] daughter’s trying to do what she always does help a friend. Well, I mean I’ve, I just heard the stories growing up about the witch and the mountains. What was her name? I remember she was just a witch in the mountains, but we know how I grew up and nothing was in the street. I had nothing else to lose. I mean, if I was lucky, this sort of work, if I was not quite as lucky, she would’ve just chopped me up and eaten me. Didn’t have anything else waiting for me. So why, uh, I went and just wandered North through the mountains, through the forests and my shoes began to split. Yes. Chased by wolves and worse. Yeah. Till eventually, one day I just stumbled upon this little shock and there was the witch, right when I began to think it was all a lie and I can throw myself to the wolves for nothing. She was there. Crooked, smile and hungry eyes. She have long arms longer than natural. Yeah. She asked me how I’d come here and through myself, so withered before her and I said I had nothing to lose and heard that she can help people. She said she couldn’t. She said she was a fortune teller. She said fortune was her specialty and so she threw her rooms and played her cards and said that there was a way to get what I always want, but for just a fragment of my fortunate and I said, well, I don’t have a fortune. She said, not, not that fortunate your fortune. And I agreed because I had nothing to lose. I said, this woman I wanted to marry doesn’t deserve an impoverished man, whatever it takes. She said, I’ll be a great craftsmen Mark then fine spirits to pick up place in the mountain land. And wherever I picked the ground would grow. You said a young Bo will take on the great name to continue this success until everything eventually will humble me by that which I desired most. And then she sent me on my way. We came back, we built on aligned with what last bit we could borrow from her family and she was right and we had another blessing. And the fact that it all worked means I don’t know what else she took and I don’t know what’s coming to humble me and I just want to protect my family. So if you intend to actually go and see this is switch, just be careful for me or for you and yours for us. Poor regard. Maybe I’m the one that sent down polio, but I don’t think for any moment your mother and I haven’t loved you from the depths of our hearts this entire time. I’m sorry if we didn’t show it properly. Yeah, I don’t know if I feel validated or vindicated or what he was saying. Oh my apologies. I didn’t realize this would be the evening. I think getting West was coming home too. I’m a bit caught off guard and unprepared. Yeah. Well some things never change. Do they dad? Oh, I pulled her aside second. So losing my shit. I know you. I just want you to know. He looks like he’s telling the truth. Oh, he was terrible to you. Obviously they did terrible things and they sent you away and that’s horrible. I do believe they love you. I do. And I don’t expect you to forgive them right away by any means. But I would just encourage you to maybe maybe listen to them the way that you listen to us with open years. How did you do it? Forgive your dad so quickly. Well, I mean he seems pretty honest and there’s not a lot to be gained from holding grudges. You know what? It feels like poison inside of you. How much better would it feel if you could just be clean? I’m so good at holding grudges. No, no, you’re really good at it. Interesting going though. Yeah, this is an excellent one. Well, looking at the bottle, it’s an extremely rare one that, um, I would have preferred to kept in the cellar, but it’s a special occasion. So enjoy the most special occasion and reunion. I’m going to go and find this woman. Have you based so much of our entire lives around and hope that I can better understand why and where you’re coming from. Oh, your mom didn’t do a lot of the footwork and not understanding me. It doesn’t mean that I can’t do my research. It’s a better understanding where I came from. The hot to reflect on what choices I’ve made to put me in the position that I’m in and I guess I’m just mildly disappointed to see that the same amount of work hasn’t been done all at least even grandpa Lee attempted [inaudible] entirely true boater card. Not entirely wrong either. I gave the Rowe jr the Jade necklace, make sure he doesn’t show kindness. Oh, don’t, don’t [inaudible]. Don’t leave and go to this woman without any sort of protection. Hold on just a second. And he kind of nervously runs past you and heads off into one of the side chambers. You’re doing great. You’re doing amazing. Good job. Well yeah, we all are here with ya. Question protection. He thinks that protects you. I told you he was incredibly superstitious. Really valuable. [inaudible] okay. Detect, couldn’t even fireball. Curious if this is a guy who’s had things last cursed. How, how superstitious [inaudible]. Okay. Um, well the tech and evil, uh, I know he rushes back in and his hands and you could see a different design, but there is another kind of tighter Jade necklace. Um, different carvings. He rushes over and goes, this is your mother’s, but just please, please for me if you’re going to do this. [inaudible] well, it’s got to be an upgrade. You don’t sense any thing on the list? On the tech magic? Just for fun too. Just for the room, for everything. Okay. And the lights above. Definitely. Um, you know, the equipment you’re wearing, the necklace he’s granting is not magical. Mmm Hmm. Um, yeah. And he’s kind of like, as I’ve read your hands and handing it to you kind of withdraws and recomposes himself. I hope I can make up to you the missteps that I can plainly see behind me. It’s rare that a child’s damage at that age and behavior, it doesn’t reflect how I stepped in my parenting. Thank you for that. Your grandfather was no peach either. And there’s, there’s difficulty in realizing how much you intended to be different and then to realize you’ve become so similar. So I hope with the company you keep, you won’t repeat the same mistakes I have by treating the people around him. I’m trying to do better. Oh, I know how it goes. It’s good. Good. [inaudible] are we saying what exactly we do and we should go tell mom. Thank you mom. You look back and she’s actually like [inaudible] like looking out past the doorway and then kind of like what’s behind and then walks out. Yes. Going mom. Oh, Oh, all right. Um, when she reaches behind him, pulls TJ behind her is it kinda like comes up alongside her and she walks up to you and kind of hands TJ over to your father and takes your hands and goes, sorry things. Uh, thanks. Strained tonight. But it’s good to see you. She’s kind of leaning in and I whisper you’re allowed to have an opinion to your mom. Well, you know, cause of course she squeezes your hand and let’s go. None chicken looks over and TJ can, it comes up again. It looks up at you and holds the necklace back up again and started sucking on it again in the car. I was like, no, no honey. Okay. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Your dad turns to be safe. I will. I promise. Keep her safe. Of course. You want to give her an awkward hug or anything? She’s going to face a pretty powerful being. I think we’re good. Right? Okay. Just checking landmarks to look out for him. If you hear noise run. Um, there was a thick Bramble, uh, tangle partially grades and petrified like many of the woods there, that means you’re close. If the ground begins to tar, it looks like you’re almost there. And if I recall, it’s pretty straight North from here. Alright. Should we take horses there? Should we go on food? You can take horses as far as you want, but there’ll be a point where you won’t be able to bring them with you. I think we should lead the horse to take him a bit. Right? We care about horses. Well, uh, the mighty nine. It’s been a pleasure having you welcome, uh, to the line that is state and um, travel safe. We’ll look forward to seeing you here again and do too many years ago. I was granted a wish by that same which, and I turned into this as a result. So I hope that doesn’t happen to you. Bye bye dad. I swipe up another bottle of wine that they have on display on the way out and I will steal literally anything. I don’t see anything on the way out. I’ll just take the cup I was drinking. Definitely. That’s a nice cup. Um, on the way out there are kind of these, these uh, small kind of square windows off to each side of the entryway and they have these kind of little decorative tables with nice velvet over them and you can see there’s a couple of art pieces there that are relatively easy to grab. Okay. Stealthily or rural, slight of hand. Ooh, 28. I’m so disappointed you glanced down and it’s just like kind of like beautiful Jade rabbit sculpture. Um, when our friend gets out of the shit or tell him to meet us outside, linger and hang back. Go on the last ones. We’ll walk out. Okay. The thorough kind of approaches to close the door behind. You should be very proud of your daughter. You are very lucky to have her, but I agree you should show her that more than if for some reason we ended up killing this ag. Will all of this go away? I don’t know. Well maybe that would help you remember what’s important. Have a good night as you leave. He just kind of stands there with the door open watching you all walk away. Kind of those words still echoing through his ears before the doors. Slowly as he will. As you all step back out into the cold. The night rain, the sun now set the sky dark. The beneath the storm clouds is another distant flash of lightning. Brings the calming thunder to your ears. Asha, I cry a little bit and then just grab everybody and huddle. Everybody in all come in for a cold, rainy hug here in the mud and the outskirts of the mine at a state here in Camarda. A union of support. Yeah, that’s real intense episode, man. Woo. Yeah, totally. Totally expected. I’ve had like all these battle maps for all the different directions for levels. I don’t care. It’s all been great fucking role play, man. Travis, Travis, when you were gone, was Ford’s stool solid or like what are your or Stoney? It’s fine. Ah, vegan milkshake stone. He kind of like that level. Wow. Puppy can’t imagine what you’re going to be exhausted asleep so bad. It’s so weird playing your hustle dad. It’s a very, it’s a very strange kind of this association exercise, so, Oh yeah. Oh man. Well thank you guys for joining us. The back of my neck is drenched. Ugh. Oh man. They’re like, their NVC is the, that are challenging and such, but like between your dad and Ann’s dad, those are two NPCs that have been like the, the grossest to step into for different reasons. Yeah. Uh, uh, well you have a little syphilis man. You left an impression. It was like over here. I’m like, Benadryl. Looking down here. I’m like rolling the ceiling. Yeah, no, they’re going to run into him again. Fun recurring theme. I felt that there was something in that fire that was worth, I’m so glad. Yeah, that was great. Um, the, uh, the bandit cabinets. Oh, that’s a hold up. There’s a coincidence. Anyway, thank you guys for joining us for this extensively, emotionally tense episode. Uh, we’ll be back here next Thursday. Looks like treading into the serious mountain surrounding Madmen. Teary. Insert. Oh man, there’s a witch in it. Nope. Yeah, there is. Yeah. There’s an actual witch hunt stuff. We’re gonna. We’re gonna make some good shorts. I’m going to take control water. Everything’s going to be fine. Right? All right guys. Well, I hope to see you next Thursday. In the meantime, uh, be safe. Take care of each other. Now that we love you very much. And is it Thursday at night?

Any moments I missed? Feel free to post them here. Is it Thursday yet?

  2. Spoiler alert. Read later and see if this didn't cross your mind.

2:33:00 It would have been great if Matt made a roll to see if the noose actually caught Nott's little foot in time.

  3. As great of this episode is of course! i do think its been a while since we've had a combat. I really want to see what kind of new spells they have learned.

  4. Is there anyway u can have a special guest join you for one day!? Jim Carrey!? Even if u set up a funding to do so, I and I bet 90% ppl here would so love to see this happen!

  5. Beau Stole from her family, was smuggling and doing black marked deals that she said her father didn't want her to do. From what I know he was a honorable man who worked hard to feed his family and help support a rundown town. Also to everyone defending Beau actions please explain why and what you would have done in her parent situation. I want to understand what might have been the proper response to this family drama because its a lot. I haven't seen anything but beau's parents try but nothing is enough. By that I mean when she learned that her father was still checking on her she took it negatively, she kept saying he was wrong for what he did by sending her away when she was doing thing her friends kill people for now, and even jester could see that her parents cared for her. In all honesty I just need more information before I judge her parents because from what she has stated for her reason for being sent away and her action early game(she has grown a lot) I could completely understand why her parents looked for help. Again if someone knows why can they explain how exactly her parents were wrong so I can get behind beau and support her more.

  6. Beau's dad kind of reminds me in some ways of the story of Olgierd from witcher's hearts of stone. A man who wanted to get rich and marry the love of his life at all costs and wasted his life on being paranoid and hurting everyone around him.

  7. Why would a goblin, transforming a halfling into a goblin, see it as punishment? Nott must be mistaken, probably due to her "emotional state ".

  8. Did I miss something, because it seems like the way Beau phrased it seemed like she was only hit once when she was sent away?

I'm not going to excuse Beau's parents actions, but that doesn't excuse Beau's either. She said she ran with a bad crowd, and stole things before being sent away. Her father tried to touch on that, but Beau focused more on her parents wrongdoings. Most relationship issues come from both sides of the relationship. It is hard to be a parent, and I think people need to be a little more understanding to Beau's parents. The good thing is that her parents admitted they were wrong, and kind of showed that they do love her. I would of liked to see Beau admit where she was wrong, but it is perfectly understandable for Beau to get caught up in the moment and only remembered what happened to her. Hopefully she gets a quiet moment with her parents to also admit some guilt. Great acting by Marisha.

As for a parent hitting a child, I've been hit a few times by my parents and I can tell you it wasn't because it came out of nowhere. Was it the right thing to do? No, but I doubt Beau's dad hit her that one time because she asked if she could have some ice cream.

  9. "there's something to be gained from seeing ones parents after you've matured enough to see how fragile they are"

Damn, I love when Caddy drops those little bits of wisdom.

  10. Oh man.. I really love Beau

I know I'm not the only critter who can relate to her, but I've never understood a character as much as I have Beau.

Her relationship with her father, being a lesbian disaster lol, feeling insecure but putting up a mask to hide it, trying to feel useful, and everything really

I REALLY want Beau to end up being happy, and to keep that happiness the Mighty Nein gave her. In a way it shows me that I too, can be happy

  11. Yeah sorry. But buea is just as in the wrong as her father. Probably even more so. She was basically just a monster of a person and criminal scum. Daddy not giving you attention doesnt justify hurting people. Her father was right to send her away. Not sure what everyone else is seeing but it seems to me this is mostly her fault.

-"See? I was right to kick you out." is NOT the same as "I'm proud of who you've become."

-Putting on a friendly veneer in front of company is NOT the same as treating your daughter with the respect she deserves behind closed doors.

-"No one told me how to be a father." is NOT the same as "I acknowledge that what I did was wrong."

-"It was partly your fault that I was such a shitty dad." is NOT the same as "I take responsibility for my actions."

-"I want to protect you, because you're part of my legacy." is NOT the same as "I love you."

Two bad fathers in this episode. Both of them came from nothing, loved a woman of higher class, and begat a daughter. The difference is one of character.

Thoreau is a raging narcissist who can't acknowledge his own imperfections, and that makes him irredeemable. He left his daughter feeling diminished and shaken, and that makes him a piece of shit. Beau can't solve this problem with physical violence, but Thoreau has to be removed for Thoreau, Jr.'s sake. Clara has to be the one to cut him out, and she won't find the strength to do it without Beau's support.

Jester can guide her father to redemption. The Gentleman is a man who admits that he's not a good person, and yet he left his daughter feeling loved and appreciated. The Gentleman is also a piece of shit, but unlike Thoreau, he's a strong enough man to redeem himself.

  13. This was a super emotional episode but also had some seriously funny bits. The impromptu foley work from Sam and Liam at 3:53:45 was priceless.

  14. Thoreau bothers me for so many reasons.

    1. Playing the victim. He makes himself the victim of a bad father of his own, a busy work schedule, and a “self-destructive” kid. Being a bad father can not be his fault because of all these other things that made the task of raising an opinionated and strong willed child difficult. He refuses to take responsibility for his own choices until the very end, but he even belittles that by blaming it on becoming like his father.

    2. Taking credit for Beau’s accomplishments. Beau became the expositor and amazing badass we know because who she is, not what he did to her or for her. Her strong will and natural talents. Yeah, she ended up with the monks because they sent her away, but she climbed the ranks and proved herself by herself and with the help of the M9.

    3. The gaslighting. Thoreau claims that he loves Beau, and maybe he does, but you don’t bitch slap someone you love while they are being dragged away kicking and screaming because you’re too much of a bitch to show real love and appreciation for your child. He also claims that he’s attempted to understand who Beau even thought every statement he’s made proves that he hasn’t.

    4. He crushed her individuality as a kid then punished her for pursuing her own personality. If he had just appreciated her talents instead of crushing her into a box and ignoring her when she acted out (because who’s happy when they feel trapped) Beau would have never felt the need to resort to criminal activity. She wanted to be à traveling sales woman for the family business. She had ideas! Thoreau was so hell bent on “protecting” her that he shot her down. And as we’ve seen, Beau doesn’t take people underestimating her well, so she takes her idea to the criminal underworld to prove that she could do it and do it well. I understand punishment because of her stealing, but the proper response to people like her is to direct their natural talents and let them grow. They do not thrive in a dark box.

  15. Beau's story hits hard but I really felt for Yasha this episode. Her conversation with Caleb was a great reminder how screwed up the members of the M9 really are. I hope this gang of misfits gets a happy ending.

  16. Why would chilli with cream be considered disgusting? Often the sauce already has cream or is served with cream based adds in other dishes
And christmas wines in europe are sometimes served with whiped cream

  17. So glad that I caught up in time to watch this episode on twitch.

Being able to see the return of the bandits live made my entire week.

  18. Just wanted you guys to know in the into the captions are not understanding the new comic release. It's coming across kinda weird. Hope to help love the show

  19. Wow, this comment section is divided into four groups;
1st group; victims/people who know victims of abuse and see the similarities in their lives to Beau's and write very well-thought out comments.
2nd group: people who have never experienced abuse, and are mansplaining it to all that will listen(and even those who won't).
4th group; Huh. aren't we supposed to hate thourough?! (since his gaslighting is really effective I've noticed)

  20. What if Jade is this hags weakness, like how silver is for werewolves. She gave hers to Theo jr. and her father gave her mother's to her. "You will be humbled by that which you desire most". The hag might take/kill the mother to humble the father. The original "payment" was probably Beau but then she was sent away to join the cobalt soul so now the child was the payment but Beau saved him by giving him her necklace. I have a feeling this whole situation might end badly for the Lionetts.

  21. I know this was a very dark episode and to not over shadow what happened but I just want to say. Ashley’s hair looks amazing

  22. this might be too easy, but isn't there a spell called "remove curse" that might help nott with the issue of being cursed and all. But to be honest I would be a little sad if it was something so simple this whole time.

  23. Wonder if the hag Thoreau dealt with was the same as the one Tiberius traded part of his luck with for the Mending Wheel.

  24. 4:08:02
Yasha lingers back to talk to Thoreau
Yasha: You should be very proud of your daughter. You are very lucky to have her.
    Thoreau: I agree
Yasha: you should show that her more then…
If, for some reason,we end up killing this hag will all of this go away?
    Thoreau: I don't know.
Yasha: Well, maybe that will help you remember what's important.
    Have a good night.

    Thoreau: O-O

    Travis: O r p h a n M a k e r

  25. First episode where I actually caught the live stream. It’s probably my favourite so far. Some of the funniest moments of the campaign mixed with a good bit of heartbreak. Some of the themes in the last hour were quite triggering for people in chat. If difficult family dynamics and emotional manipulation are sore subject for you then bare that in mind. It’s a worthwhile episode so consider coming back to it when you’re in the right headspace.

  26. Most of the mighty nein: confused, loud, arguing
Caduceus: I have come to a calm, informed solution to our problem almost immediately

    Don’t underestimate our wise firbolg

  27. What utter rubbish this episode became. Lets walk into a mans house and because he slapped his daughter once, when said daughter herself has said she was an absolutely horrible child that tried to run the business into the ground just to spite her parents because she didn't want to be disciplined.

This isn't really made clear most of the time. THESE PEOPLE LIVE IN A MEDIEVAL WORLD. Is it that far beyond the pale for this cast and the fans to realize that in a world such as this your heritage and the things your parents can provide for you to lift you out of the norm which is utter poverty is a good thing? MY GOD he slapped her ONCE.

Did Bo ever say he beat her over and over and over? No she never did. She said they attempted to discipline her, like all parents do, and she rebelled in some of the worst ways she could. She endangered the thing that lifted her parents out of poverty, provided her with a home, and PRIVILEGE far beyond the masses in poverty around her. What does Bo do? She holds a grudge forever, from one slap, and a upbringing from parents that wanted her to one day take over the family business.. lord all mighty. What horrible parents.

I see some comments on here about how Mirisha is right in her portrayal of this moment. I think you guys are just looking at this on a surface level. What I see is a group of "heroes" bullying a man in his own home. Some heroes. Why did Travis have to use the bathroom.. right then? Maybe he didn't, maybe he just didn't want to be involved in the utter crap that was the chip on the should moment that all of Mirishas characters have. I think he felt the BS character drama from M was just to much, hed rather be in the bathroom hiding than be there for it. Even after he returned, he didn't do what Kadusas did or Yasha. They insulted a man in his own home. A man that had never done anything to them, and man that let them into his home willingly. Then THEY STEAL something of his as they leave, lol. Man what HEREOS these Might Nine are. That whole scene I could feel Matts unease as he roleplays the character Mirisha made him play to possible work something out in her real life or play some PC far to emotionally charged moment. When Kadusas said " they've done horrible things to you" Matts expression was one of.. his characters actualy knowledge bucking against these THUGS in his home.

And who would ever have this kinda moment, with a buncha people that aren't even remotely related to the situation in the room? At best two or three friends. Five and your basically threatening physical harm.

My god, and her comments in character about how she justifies all of it. Shes the problem, she never grew up! Shes still a spoiled little kid that can fight now. The monks probably tried to change her, but even them literally beating discipline into her did nothing but make her angrier and even worse.

What does it say about a person when they boil down the entire time you've known them into on moment of anger. It tells you they are a hate filled and inconsiderate person that cannot be trusted with a normal life. She isn't an "adventurer" Shes a thug with friends. A GANG.

And.. next week they will be heroes again. Simply because its their show. Man episodes like this make me hate some of the cast members. Talisan did a fine job showing that Kadusas doesn't really care about the things his character seemed to care about.. You "hurt" one of his friends.. years ago and it was just a slap.. but your "HURT" one of his friends. So F you forever. What a wonderful person.

Edit: Also what is this crap Mirisha said about " You've built our life around this witches promise" He, didn't make that deal when your character was alive. Your mother went along with it, knowing what he had done. Seriously? Grow up.
